    Account Manager

    Role Overview

    • We are recruiting on behalf of our client in the oil and gas sector for a highly experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager (Chartered Accountant) to lead the finance function, ensure strong financial controls, and oversee reporting, compliance, and audit activities.
    • The ideal candidate will have solid experience in audit, financial management, and QuickBooks.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Oversee all accounting operations, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, payroll, and fixed assets
    • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
    • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
    • Ensure compliance with local regulations, tax laws, and statutory requirements
    • Manage and coordinate internal and external audits
    • Develop and enforce internal controls and financial policies
    • Supervise and mentor accounting staff
    • Oversee QuickBooks implementation, optimisation, and reporting
    • Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies
    • Provide financial insights to support business decision-making.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
    • 7–10 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role
    • Chartered Accountant (ICAN/ACCA or equivalent) – Mandatory
    • Strong background in audit (internal or external)
    • Proficiency in QuickBooks (very important)
    • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, tax, and compliance
    • Experience in oil & gas / marine services is an added advantage.
