Account Assistant at Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc

Purpose

• To support operational efficiency by providing timely and accurate finance transactions for all relevant interested parties.

Responsiblities

• Daily confirmation of customers’ deposits from various banks.
• Conduct monthly reconciliation of customers’ lodgments from various banks with the general ledger account.
• Raising of customer receipts daily.
• To ensure the safekeeping of approved imprest.
• Reconciling the daily and monthly petty cash accounts.
• Ensure that all relevant unit documents are properly maintained for future reference.
• Effect and reconcile the intercompany funds transfer
• Daily scanning of vendors' documents to M-files
• Safe custody of cheques, seals and other confidential instruments/documents.

Qualifications / Experience

• B.Sc. or an HND in Accountancy/Banking & Finance.
• Minimum of two years of experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting.

The Person Must:

• Have good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Be good at Microsoft Excel and other accounting software/ERP systems.
• Have a strong understanding of basic bookkeeping principles.
• Possess excellent numerical and analytical skills.
• Have strong attention to detail and accuracy.
