As the Academic Director, you will be responsible for leading the institution's academic strategy, curriculum development, faculty excellence, and programme delivery to ensure high-quality educational outcomes.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement academic strategies, curriculum frameworks, and learning programmes aligned with the institution's vision and objectives
Lead faculty recruitment, development, mentoring, and performance management to drive academic excellence
Build strategic partnerships with educational institutions, industry stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to enhance programme quality and impact
Monitor academic performance, programme effectiveness, and learning outcomes while ensuring compliance with educational standards
Represent the institution at academic engagements, prepare academic reports, and support research, grants, and institutional development initiatives
Requirements
Master's Degree or PhD in Education, Fine Arts, Art Education, Design, or a related discipline
Minimum of 8 years' experience in academic leadership, curriculum development, or programme management within the education sector
Strong understanding of curriculum design, faculty development, educational quality assurance, and academic governance
Experience collaborating with higher institutions, industry stakeholders, and regulatory bodies; familiarity with NUC, NBTE, or related accreditation frameworks is an added advantage
Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and report-writing skills with a proven track record of delivering impactful educational programmes
