Programme Manager at Domeo Resources International (DRI)

Role Responsibilities

• Plan and design the programme portfolio consisting of multiple projects
• Create and implement guidelines for evaluating the programme's strengths and areas where improvement is required.
• Assign tasks to team members to ensure project objectives are completed as required.
• Ensure effective quality assurance and the overall integrity of each project throughout the programme life cycle.
• Meet financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing project budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances and initiating corrective actions.
• Manage the programme's budget on behalf of the President, monitor expenditure and costs against delivered and realised benefits as each project progresses
• Facilitate the appointment of individuals to project teams
• Ensure project execution on time and within budget, in accordance with the developed Project Management Plan
• Proactively monitor budget, schedule and quality, resolving issues and initiating appropriate corrective action
• Collect and analyse project performance data for accurate management decisions 
• Ensure appropriate allocation of all resources and skills across each project
• Manage third party contributions to the projects
• Professionally manage communications with all internal and external stakeholders
• Identify, manage and mitigate risks to the projects’ successful outcome
• Initiate extra activities and other management interventions wherever gaps in the projects are identified or issues arise.
• Accomplish human resource objectives by assigning, scheduling and coaching employees; communicating job expectations; as well as planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions.
• Develop and achieve operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans as communicated by Executive Management
• Observe and identify market trends; determine system improvements and implement change.
• Adequately communicate project expectations to team members.
• Monitor progress of each project and regularly submit management and other stakeholders’ report.
• Excellently coordinate programme portfolio and professionally manage the project inter-dependencies.

Experience and Qulaifications

• B.Sc or its equivalent. PMP or other relevant professional qualification is an added advantage. Minimum of 4 years-experience in a similar role
