The Digital Financial Services lead will provide strategic leadership and direction to deepen the company’s DFS footprints in Nigeria
He or She will lead the DFS team in developing and implementing a portfolio of projects that will significantly drive the uptake and usage of DFS in Nigeria as well as support the programmes lead to increase the pipeline of DFS projects that are funded through the company’s innovation fund.
Requirements
Bachelor degree from a reputable university
Master’s degree in International Development, Business Administration, Economics or other related discipline, strongly preferred
Minimum of 10 years’ DFS experience in Nigeria preferably with at least 5 years direct experience in deploying technology to expand mobile financial services to the low-income
In depth and broad understanding of the technology and financial services sectors in Nigeria
Strong knowledge and understanding of the legal, regulatory & policy frameworks that govern mobile money/ electronic payments & agents networks in Nigeria
Experience in front facing roles that require customer interaction
Experience in developing and implementing business strategies
Good network with relevant stakeholders in the DFS space in Nigeria
Product design/development experience
Project management experience and relevant certification
Experience working with donor or philanthropic funded programmes, will be an advantage
