Job Summary  

• Has oversight of the purpose and status of the projects and can use this oversight to support project-level activity to ensure the collective project goals are met by providing a decision-making capacity and a sounding board for ideas and approaches to solving project issues.
• Also identifies and manages cross-project dependencies, risk, issues, requirements, design and solution.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Has overall responsibility for structuring a project, performing the detailed planning, development, and managing project execution and completion of moderate or large projects
• Defines the phase deliverables, tracks milestones and incurred expenses versus planned expenses, schedules roles and resources, evaluates risks and recommends contingency plans
• Manages the development of the technical strategy
• Manages quality assurance, resolution of issues, status reviews and reporting, development of standards, change control, customer support, and compliance with all policies and procedures
• Develops best practices and tools for project execution and management
• Performs risk analysis, issue management, and thorough status reporting
• Identifies and addresses technology gaps identified throughout the project life cycle
• Establishes and enforces best practice processes
• Oversees compliance with change control and release management processes
• Leads proof-of-concept and prototyping activities to assess whether the proposed architecture and components meet requirements
• Conducts research into project-related issues and products
• Effectively prioritizes and executes tasks in a high-pressure environment
• Designs technical Specification documents for Interfaces, Customizations & Extensions for Applications

Job requirement

Minimum education level – BSC and MBA/MSC in Computer Sciences, Engineering, Social Sciences or Equivalent. MBA/MSC

Professional Qualifications required – PMP, Prince 2, IT Certifications and Equivalent will be an added advantage

The quality of the experience - 10 or more years of experience is required with 5 – 7 years of experience in the Banking industry or related industries will be an added advantage.
