General Manager at Human Capacity Development Consultants (HCDC)

Our Client, an NGO is currently looking to hire someone for the role of a General Manager.

Primary Roles & Responsibilities:

• Collaborates with the board to define and articulate the organization’s vision and to develop strategies for achieving that vision.
• Provide day-to-day leadership and management to the organization that mirrors the adopted mission and core values of the company.
• Oversees staff in developing annual budgets that support operating plans and submits budgets for board approval.
• Develops and monitors strategies for ensuring the long-term financial viability of the organization.
• Prudently manages the organization's resources within budget guidelines according to current laws and regulations.
• Acts as a liaison between the organization and the community, building relationships with peer organizations when appropriate
• Develop, implement and enforce policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the organization
• Monitor and manage all direct reports effectively and ensure adequate performance management and improvement systems are in place.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors’ degree required. Master’s Degree in Business Administration would be an added advantage
• A minimum of 5 years of experience with the last 2 years of experience in a leadership capacity required.
• Advanced MS skills
• Desire to work as part of a team and willingness to promote the principles and views of the organization
• Ability to work with minimal supervision – self-motivated & confident
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to effectively address and solve problems and make decisions in a manner consistent with the company’s core values and objectives
• Confident public speaking and able to express ideas verbally and in writing
• Male Preferably
