Datacenter Monitoring Specialist at Aldelia Limited

Purpose of the Role

• Provide technical support to customers’ requests by establishing the best technical and economical solution.
• IT /Technical support and Data Cabling for BTS / MSC sites
• Assigned products: Software, Network Cables

Main Activities

• Collect and analyze customer requirements for products and complete IT solutions.
• Prepare technical content, solution descriptions, statement of compliance and drawings based on customer requirements.
• Provide technical assistance to Account managers in direct contact with customers, when applicable.
• Prepare, write and collect technical specifications and other relevant documents for offered products, check solution-compatibility with relevant product-related standards.
• Analyze and optimize the offered solution in respect of space, costs, reliability and service.
• Interface to COE Application/Product Engineering for triggering activities related to required SFA solutions according to SFA process flowchart
• Support, consolidate and provide MU feedback to COE product/application development and stay updated with product developments, production-process and performance of products and applications
• Attend visits to customer, sales representatives, contractors and consulting engineers, when applicable.
• Participate and contribute in bundled projects pertinent to assigned products
• Perform site visits and prepare site reports/solutions and recommendations to customers.
• Do concept design of distribution cabinets and oversee the process to obtain this (with procurement and engineering) to do total solutions
• Trouble-shooting various software and hardware problems, interconnecting networks via cable-enabled seamless communication.
• Any other duties as deemed appropriate by your line manager.

Experience / Skills / Other
Mandatory:

• OND, HND (Electrotechnics / Electrical Electronics with additional experience in IT / Network Programs) or equivalent, or qualified by experience (QBE)
• Good PC knowledge ( Microsoft office and Windows)
• Knowledge and previous IT experience (at least 3 years) with Network systems and ability to read and interpret electrical & mechanical schematics and one-line diagrams

Desirable:

• Good understanding of Network Servers, related principles and relevant standards
• Good experience in Data Cabling
• 3-5 years in the Telecommunications and Data Centre environment
• Some knowledge of UPS, Thermal and Monitoring
