    Job Description

    Group Executive Finance/ Chief Financial Officer

    As a key member of the Executive Management team, the Chief Financial Officer will report to the CEO and assume a strategic role in the overall management of the company. The CFO will have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities of the company.

    Responsibilities:

    •  Provides leadership in the development for the continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives.
    • Direct and oversee all aspects of the Finance & Accounting functions of the organization.
    •  Evaluates and advises on the impact of long range planning, introduction of new programs/ strategies and regulatory action.
    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior executives so as to identify their needs and seek full range of business solutions.
    • Provide executive management with advice on the financial implications of business activities.
    • Manage processes for financial forecasting, budgets and consolidation and reporting to the Company
    • Provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities.
    • Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with applicable federal, state and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
    • Develops finance organizational strategies by contributing financial and accounting information, analysis, and recommendations to strategic thinking and direction; establishing functional objectives in line with organizational objectives
    • Establishes finance operational strategies by evaluating trends; establishing critical measurements; determining production, productivity, quality, and customer-service strategies; designing systems; accumulating resources; resolving problems; implementing change.
    • Develops organization prospects by studying economic trends and revenue opportunities; projecting acquisition and expansion prospects; analyzing organization operations; identifying opportunities for improvement, cost reduction, and systems enhancement; accumulating capital to fund expansion.
    •  Develops financial strategies by forecasting capital, facilities, and staff requirements; identifying monetary resources; developing action plans. Monitors financial performance by measuring and analyzing results; initiating corrective actions; minimizing the impact of variances.
    • Maximizes return on invested funds by identifying investment opportunities; maintaining relationships with the investment community. Reports financial status by developing forecasts; reporting results; analyzing variances; developing improvements. Updates job knowledge by remaining aware of new regulations; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations. 
    • Accomplishes finance and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

    Qualifications and Requirements:

    • BS in Accounting or Finance, MBA
    • 15+ years in progressively responsible financial leadership roles, preferably in the finance or Logistics sector.

    • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization
    • Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
    • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation
