Experienced Procurement Manager required for this multinational FMCG Company based in Lagos/Nigeria.
Reporting to the Operations Director and to Group Procurement, you will be responsible for all Procurement, strategic sourcing, and vendor management and engagement.
Responsibilities
Liaising with suppliers and contractors and all relevant internal departments requiring goods and services, forecasting levels of demand to meet the business needs and keeping a constant check on stock levels
Conducting research to ascertain the best products and suppliers in terms of best value, delivery schedules and quality
Identifying potential suppliers, visiting existing suppliers and building and maintaining good relationships with them
Developing organisations purchasing strategy and communicating this to all relevant managers and teams
Negotiating prices and agreeing contracts, monitoring their progress
Vendor development local and International
Sourcing and ordering of materials
Commercial negotiations, knowledge of contracts, bid evaluation and currency fluctuations
Planning, budgeting and cost reduction
Requirements
The company are looking for a graduate with specialisation in procurement and Supply Chain/MBA.
You should be a commercial specialist with 10-12 experience in a Global manufacturing organisation, preferably FMCG.
Good exposure to local and International markets with a strong technical knowledge of materials.
Exposure on shipping, commercial supply contracts with high negotiation skills and excellent interpersonal and communication skills
