Project Driver at Education Development Center (EDC)

Driver for EDC/NEI plus project

Responsibilities:

 Primary Responsibilities:

• Transport EDC staff and visitors;
• Demonstrate ability to maintain composure and work effectively in fast paced environment;
• Perform daily inspection of vehicle and report findings to the supervisor;
• Undertake minor repairs as required;
• Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle and keep it in serviceable condition taking into consideration minor preventative maintenance daily;
• Update daily vehicle log sheets;
• Ensure safe keep of the vehicle proper maintenance equipment;
• Report cases of accident to supervisor by completing the investigation forms;
• Record gasoline consumption;
• Organize daily travel routes and juggling conflicting requests.

Key Qualifications:

Skills and Experience

• WASSCE, NECO, NABTEB or their equivalence;
• 2 year’s driving experience preferably with an NGO;
• Flawless driving record;
• Current divers license;
• Knowledge of local traffic laws;
• Good English communication skills;
• Knowledge of the local terrain;
• Ability to communicate with the local community
