Safety Officer

REQUIREMENTS
- Must have a minimum of 5 years experience working in a safety role in the oil and gas industry
- Must have safety certification/accreditation such as BOSIET, NEBOSH, or ISPON etc.
- Must be able to travel to various field locations in Nigeria
RESPONSIBILITIES & SKILLS
- Write and maintain safety procedures, manuals, safety related documentation, and programs
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and promote proactive safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment in the field
- Oversee all aspect of Funtay Global Resources HSSE activities
- Create and maintain a safety training program for all staff
- Conduct risk/hazard assessments, inspections, and incident investigations and understand emergency response planning
- Must have excellent writing and communication skills
