    Creative Communications Associate

    General Position Summary

    • S/he will support the development of communication strategy for clients including developing BCC/IEC materials, newsletters, footages, advocacy guides, and other messaging required by client.
    • Proofread books, reports, success stories and other written documents.
    • The candidate will coordinate closely with the designated client staff to plan and implement activities that ensure adherence to client’s communication requirements.
    •  Responsible for a cross-cutting programmatic information management within the framework of clients’ contract.
    • S/he will have responsibility for leading the development of high quality reports and success stories for dissemination and documentation.

    The Key Requirements

    Applicant who will be considered for this role should have a Second Class Upper and above in English, Linguistics, Mass Communication and other relevant Art courses and must have these 5 essential skills;

    • Proofreading
    • Editing
    • Writing
    • Graphics design
    • Audio visual editing

    Essential Job Responsibilities 
    Strategy & Vision:

    • Recognize opportunities for innovative action and create an environment where alternative viewpoints are welcome.

    Communication

    • Actively participate in meetings and processes to promote effective program management through strong Communication practices.
    • Problem-solve with others to address shortfalls in communication and information management that affect clients’ brand or program implementation.
    • Participate and support in the preparation of high-quality quarterly and annual reports.
    • Coordinate internal and external reviews of information collected for clients.
    • Identify new opportunities and develop proposals for new business.

    Team Management:

    • Create and sustain a work environment of mutual respect where team members strive to achieve excellence.
    • Promote accountability, communicate expectations and provide constructive feedback via regular performance reviews.
    • Supervise, hire and orient new team members as delegated.

    Finance & Compliance Management:

    • Draft and/or review scope of work to hire and manage any technical consultants, including review for technical efficacy and contract budget.

    Success Factors

    • S/he will have an outstanding ability to develop, implement and manage innovative and complex programs and produce quality work under minimum or no supervision.
    • S/he will have exceptional writing skills with ability to work in a dynamic team.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. With fluency in written and verbal English required. Ability to speak other local languages is an advantage.
    • Excellent computer skills, including experience with Photoshop, Premier Pro, Corel Draw and Microsoft Office Package.
    • Experience interfacing with the mass-media, conducting interviews and writing success stories.
    • Experienced developing scripts for advertising campaign etc
