3D Animator at Ike Foundation for Autism

Job Summary:

• This role is for the purpose of creating high-quality animation sequences and assets for various projects, short films, television shows, YouTube animation, and other multimedia productions.
• The animator will be responsible for bringing characters, objects, and environments to life through movement and expression.

Responsibilities:

Animation Production:

• Create captivating and realistic 3D animation sequences, characters, and objects, while adhering to project requirements and artistic direction.
• Collaborate with the other team members to understand and execute the animation briefs effectively.
• Utilize appropriate animation techniques, including keyframe animation, motion capture, and procedural animation, to achieve desired results.
• Ensure consistency and continuity in animation style, timing, and movement throughout the project.
• Revise and modify animations based on feedback and direction from the management.

Technical Skills:

• Demonstrate proficiency in industry-standard 3D animation software (e.g., Autodesk Maya, Blender, or equivalent) to create high-quality animations.
• Understand and apply principles of animation, such as timing, weight, squash and stretch, anticipation, and follow-through, to enhance the quality of animations.
• Possess a solid understanding of rigging and skinning techniques to create realistic character performances.
• Collaborate with the Technical Team to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to animation production.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with the media team to ensure seamless integration of animations into the overall media projects.
• Participate in regular team meetings, providing progress updates, seeking feedback, and sharing creative ideas.
• Collaborate effectively within a team environment, sharing knowledge, techniques, and best practices to enhance overall productivity and quality of animations.
• Communicate and present ideas, concepts, and work-in-progress animations clearly and professionally.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven experience as a 3D Animator, with a portfolio demonstrating strong animation skills and creativity.
• Proficiency in industry-standard 3D animation software, such as Autodesk Maya, Blender, or equivalent.
• Solid understanding of animation principles and techniques.
• Familiarity with rigging and skinning processes.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A degree or diploma in animation or a related field is desirable but not essential.
