    A strong proof of continuing research with appreciable evidence of scholarly publications in reputable journals published both locally and internationally is required in addition to evidence of ability to supervise post-graduate students including doctorate students in areas of expertise.
    A candidate must  also have sufficient administrative experience and must have been an Associate
    Professor for a minimum of three years. He/She must have ability to provide academic leadership.
    Candidates who have been Senior Lecturers for a minimum of six years may be considered for appointment.

    A candidate for this post should normally possess a good first degree and M.Sc. in Economics and must have registered for the Ph.D. programme.
     
     
    b.) Department of Geography
     
    Associate Professor Candidate for this post should normally possess a good first degree and Ph.D. degree in Geography from a recognized University at least eight (8) years of teaching and research experience in since becoming a Lecturer II in a University or comparable institution of higher learning.
    A strong proof of continuing research with appreciable evidence of scholarly publications in reputable journals published both locally and internationally is required in addition to evidence of ability to supervise post-graduate students including doctorate students in areas of expertise.
    Candidate must also have sufficient administrative experience and must have been a Senior Lecturer for a minimum of three years. Competence in field instrumentation and monitoring of hydrological and soil parameters as well as evidence of field teaching and practicals in Geography would be an advantage.
     
    Areas of Specialisation:
    Hydrology, Human Geography, Human Behavioral Analysis, Population Health, Migration and Leisure.
    c.) Department of Mass Communication
    (i) Professor
     
    A candidate for this post should normally possess a good first degree and Ph.D. degree in the respective field from a recognized University with not less than ten (10) years of teaching and research experience since a becoming Lecturer II in a University or comparable institution of higher learning.

    Candidate must have been a Lecturer I for a minimum of three years. Candidates must be in a position to teach in at least two of the following:

    Candidate for this post should normally possess a good first degree and Ph.D degree in Political Science with not less than four (4) years teaching and research experience since becoming a Lecturer II in a University or comparable institution of higher learning.
    Candidate must also have the ability to teach courses at the undergraduate level with evidence of practical skills and competence.
    Evidence of scholarly publications in reputable journals is also required in addition to ability to supervise post-graduate students in areas of expertise.
    Candidate must have been a Lecturer II for a minimum of three years.
    He/She must be able to teach in at least two of the areas listed in (iii) above
     
    (v) Lecturer II
     
    Candidate for this post should normally possess a good first degree and Ph.D degree in Political Science from a recognized university. Candidate must have considerable number of publications in learned journals. He/She must be able to teach in at least two of the areas listed in (iii) above.
     
    (vi) Assistant Lecturer
    A candidate for this post should normally possess a good first degree and M.Sc. in the relevant area and must have registered for the Ph.D. programme.
    e.) Department of Psychology
    (i) Professor
     
    A candidate for this post should normally possess a good first degree and Ph.D. degree in respective field from a recognized University with not less than ten (10) years of teaching and research experience since a becoming Lecturer II in a University or comparable institution of higher learning.
