    Program Manager Rural HealthCare

    Role Summary/Purpose:    

    In this role, the Program Manager:
    Will be a stand-out change-agent with experience in project management, healthcare, & emerging markets. The primary aim & objective of the program manager will be the successful execution of rural healthcare initiatives with a focus on delivering outcomes (related to MDG 4 & 5) with Ministries of Health across the continent.

    Essential Responsibilities:    

    Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

    - Cultivating and leveraging customer relationships and working with Key Opinion Leaders
    - Lead GE representative for all partners including MoH, training institutions, telecomm, etc.
    - Management of deployment processes including documentation, compliance, financing, training, technology, metric delivery, mHealth, etc.
    - Heavy emphasis on excellence in training for MoH practitioners including deployment of digital training, hands-on class learning, and post-course monitoring & evaluation.
    - Development of long-term customer relationships through the ability to identify and capitalize on opportunities that immediately satisfy customer needs
    - Ensuring seamless teamwork and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to provide total customer satisfaction.
    - Deploying resources to meet financial / operating objectives
    - Train, and develop personnel to optimize effectiveness.
    - Utilizes skills to execute the rural healthcare marketing plan incorporating the product portfolio in assigned region. Responsibilities include VOC gathering, collaboration, targeting and positioning to align messaging, tactics, commercial channel tools and execution for sales success.
    - Works with Rural Healthcare team to develop and execute plans. Develops programs to gather regional evidence of customer success, early adopters, show sites, and clinical evidence where appropriate.
    - Provides regional input to business cases for products/upgrades that are at concept stage, work with marketing, modalities to develop, test and prototype new rural healthcare product and market ideas

    Specific Goals

    - Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position
    - Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines
    - Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required
    - Knowledge and understanding of all Global Privacy and Anti-Competition Policies (including but not limited to GE Healthcare HIPPA Guidelines, NEMA Regulations, etc.) and operates within them to ensure that no company policy or US / Int’l Law is broken.
    - Knowledge and understanding of all Environmental Health Policies (including but not limited to GE Healthcare EHS Policies, GE Healthcare Fleet Rules, etc.) and operate within them to ensure that no company policy or US / Int’l Law is broken
    - Ownership of order and configuration quality at the point of entry to ensure accuracy, configuration integrity and that all requirements are tied to documented customer inputs.
    - Drive continuous improvement on all related processes, work instructions, and procedures to ensure ongoing standardization and simplification of the Quality Management System.

     

    Qualifications/Requirements:    

    - Masters Degree: MBA/MPH/MPA/MPP preferred
    - Minimum of 8 years’ experience in project management/healthcare systems/medical research or initiative leadership in either corporations or NGOs
    - Previous experience in healthcare required, developing country health systems
    - Previous work experience in emerging economies required, work in Africa
    - Experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers as a part of a solution-based sales process
    - Previous experience successfully managing programs and projects
    - Strong communication skills to synthesize complex issues and communicate into simple messages
    - Willingness and ability to travel within Africa

     

    Additional Eligibility Qualifications:    
    Desired Characteristics:    
    - Previous experience managing medical research and project management
    - Minimum 8 years Healthcare experience
    - Prior experience working for a large company in a matrix environment
    - Demonstrated ability to energize, develop, and build rapport at all levels within an organization
