PRODUCTION DESIGNER / ANIMATOR at Spice TV

Description:

We are now looking for a highly technically- orientated, creative and talented mid-level production designer and animator with 2-5 years of experience in Broadcast Production / Motion Graphics Design, in an on-air television network environment. The ideal candidate should be a highly organized detail orientated person, with an eye for the technical and aesthetic craft of broadcast design. You should be a creative Production and technical problem-solver, as well as posses strong interpersonal communication skills. The Production Designer/Animator involves designing and animating graphics for on air, off air, VOD and multiplatform.

Requirements:

• Highly skilled in Flash, Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects
• Comfortable with Mac and PC, Microsoft Office Knowledge.
• 3-5+ years of design/animation, motion graphic design experience – internship experience welcome.
• On-Air experience in broadcast network environment is a plus
• Experience with Cinema 4D, InDesign, Flash, Final Cut, Premiere
• Experience with media management and server based workflows.
• OACIS experience a plus
• Excellent communication and team work skills
• Strong written and grammar skills
• Advance knowledge of video post-production and final cut pro.
• Proven ability to manage time, juggle multiple tasks and prioritize work.
• Ability work in teams and independently
• Interest in popular culture and television, specifically for how this relates to targeting the SPICE TV audience.

Responsibilities:

• Design and animation of the on-air network navigation, including bugs and various lower third messaging
• Design and animation of promotional elements, based on established network style guides and tool kits.
• Production support for the design team, including but not limited to keying, rotoscoping, tracking, image prep, colour correction and resizing of art for various formats.
• Help develop and maintain how-to one sheets and style guides for the design group.
• Help organize, maintain and distribute assets across the design group.
• Help organize and maintain production relation archives.
• Designs and animates in show graphics including flags, bugs, countdown clocks, credit crunches, and crawls
• Coordinates with the Media Planning department and writes copy for in show graphics

Additional Responsibilities: 

• Reformats show/movie logos and end pages for Hot End credits and coordinates delivery with Edit & OACIS Assistant, Program Planning and Acquisitions
• Designs and animates on-air, VOD and multiplatform promos and logos
• Updates previously animated promos, tags and assists with renders as needed
• Assists in finding stock photography/video and performs other design/animation research
• Reformats show/movie logos and end pages for Hot End credits and coordinates delivery with Edit & OACIS Assistant, Program Planning and Acquisitions
• Collaborates with Post Production Operations to update Real Estate Guidelines for Original Productions
