KEY RESPONSIBLITIES:
• Responsible for subsea control systems engineering, procurement, manufacturing, installation & commissioning covering the subsea system and interfaces between all key components including: production trees, subsea controls, subsea equipment and topsides control system.
• Responsible for the Operational and Quality requirements of production control umbilical.
• Preparation and checking of umbilical static specification.
• Ensures that umbilical supplier documents are in compliance with customer and industry standards.
• Attending customer and supplier meetings will be expected and also witnessing umbilical performance testing.
• Applies extensive and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and work processes related to subsea control systems.
• Identifies project specific hardware & software requirements.
• Works with Controls, Automation and Operational Readiness personnel to define required subsea control system interfaces.
• Mentorship, development & guidance of less experienced peers.
• Timely completion of all post job and administrative duties including but not limited to service reports, timesheets, job debriefs and tooling tracking.
• Safe & compliant performance of all activities in line with the company's and our customer's environmental Safety and Health guidelines and procedures.
• Maintaining a strong customer relationship through a positive, proactive & professional approach.
CAPABILITY PROFILE – KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND BEHAVIOURS:
• A Bachelor’s degree with a Second Class honors (Upper division) in related Engineering discipline.
• Good knowledge of Oil and gas industry operations.
• Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience with recent subsea controls.
• Recent subsea intervention experience preferred.
• Work requires knowledge of subsea control systems engineering and technology, sound judgment, independent evaluation, and ability to adapt to, and participate in, development of unique solutions to difficult design challenges.
• Ability to oversee and monitor activities for compliance with QA/QC and HSE requirements.
• Knowledge of existing standards and ability to develop subsea controls functionality requirements.
• Demonstrated capability to proactively implement plans, follow through with sustained execution, and to meet project milestones.
• Played a significant role on a major project.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
• Ability to understand and implement mechanical drawings.
• Familiarity with upstream oil equipment specifications and procedures.
• Excellent communication skills and able to work with and influence multi-cultural multi-disciplinary team, which cross-functional management organization.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Majority of the work is carried out in the client’s office.
• 12 hours per day work on a shift where necessary.
• Short business travels maybe necessary.
• Offshore/onshore Off-site location during project execution phase as required.
• Working hours according to local regulation and Oceon’s policy.
