Developer - Mobile and POS at Finance

Job Summary

Mobile Developer is an IT professional specialized in designing and building mobile applications.

We are looking for a skilled Mobile Developer with prior developing experience to create and maintain mobile applications for Android, iOS and Windows devices.

The Mobile Developer's responsibilities include researching UI and UX trends, updating current applications and working with colleagues to brainstorm innovative ideas for new applications.

Job Description & Accountabilities

• Designs and develop software features in C#, Android, Java, IOS or other selected languages following the company’s coding standards and in accordance with applicable software development methodology and release processes.
• Support the entire application lifecycle
• Contribute to designing, testing, releasing and application support
• Write clean and sustainable code that can be used in the future
• Gather specific requirements and suggest solutions
• Write unit and UI tests to identify malfunctions
• Talk with users to understand their needs and experiences
• Design interfaces to improve user experience
• Work with the Product development team
• Identify and plan for new features
• Plan, implement and manage new projects
• Ensure new and legacy applications meet quality standards
• Makes valuable contributions through teamwork, and participates in peer code reviews, providing comments and suggestions.
• Performs technical root cause analysis and outlines corrective action for given problems to optimize performance.
• Offers suggestions to improve processes and provides feedback on software design.
• Reviews and participates in product and/or application information including manuals/brochures/feature analysis/ system trade-offs for technical accuracy.
• Stay up-to-date with new technology and best practices.

Job Requirements - (Skills and Experience)

• 5+ years of software development experience, previous working experience as a Mobile developer is an asset.
• Degree in Computer Sciences, or equivalent.
• Expert of C# / .NET programming skills. Experience in C or C++ is an asset.
• In-depth knowledge of programming languages such as Swift and Java
• Rich portfolio of released applications on the App Store or the Android market
• Should possess great analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Should be familiar with Agile development methodologies.
• Experienced with APIs
• Familiarity with OOP design principles
• Experience in the Payments industry is important.
• Familiarity with PCI DSS payment standard is highly desirable.
• Familiar with automated testing tools is highly desirable.
