Neem Foundation is a non-governmental organisation working in Northeast Nigeria. We were founded as a direct response to the challenges occasioned by the violent insurgency which has affected many people and communities in Borno, Adamawa and Yobe (BAY) States. Through our Heroines of Peace project, Neem Foundation is currently implementing a programme that supports the reintegration of women and adolescent boys and girls in communities affected by insurgency and promote the role of women in peace building. More specifically, one of the key outcomes of the project is to enhance the participation, representation, and leader-ship role of women in the promotion and maintenance of peace building and conflict resolution efforts at the community level.
Development of Social Media Plan and Content Deployment Strategy
The service to be delivered is detailed in the attached schedule.
The services will be delivered over a maximum of 90 days The scope of this project includes all research, design and development of training content by the bidder. Neem Foundation will provide the bidder with guidance on the modules to be included in the training. However, the bidder is also required (on the basis of proven expertise in developing such training
materials and delivering such trainings) to recommend modules to be included in the training content. This will be subject to scrutiny and approval by Neem Foundation. The selected bidder will be responsible for ensuring that the training materials developed are context and culturally appropriate – this will include language translations and sensitivity to local and cultural norms of the Northeast region of Nigeria where the programme will be implemented.
Neem Foundation’s Heroines of Peace project is implemented in the Northeast of Nigeria. It aims to empower women in communities, through collaboration, capacity building and awareness raising. To empower women,
however, it is important to embrace a whole-of-community approach and target key stakeholders and leaders in order to garner support and ensure that everybody is carried along in the era of post-conflict recovery.
Therefore, Neem Foundation is seeking for expert(s) to develop a comprehensive set of training materials on peacebuilding that will inform targeted peacebuilding trainings for different stakeholder groups in the North-
east, highlighting the importance of peacebuilding for recovery, reintegration, reconciliation and post-conflict reconstruction, and the role of various actors in peacebuilding in the region.
