    Senior Oracle Developer / DBA

    Would you consider yourself an Oracle database expert with sound experience in managing large transactional databases? Are you good at working with developers to understand thier requirements and model objects while maintaining an optimal database design? The role requires maintaining high performance database environment by performing DBA functions and working with developers to build well-modeled objects. This will entail participating in a wide range of design activities with the goal of having highly tuned Oracle queries and stored procedures. The candidate will be able to work collaboratively with other departments and functional teams to deliver effective solutions.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Code Oracle stored procedures and function
    • Perform database tuning and performance monitoring
    • Perform application tuning and performance monitoring
    • Plan growth and changes (capacity planning)
    • Perform general technical trouble shooting and give consultation to development teams
    • Interface with Oracle Corporation for technical support
    • Patch Management and Version Control.

    Required Experience

    • 8+ years of hands-on application development experience
    • 5+ years Oracle database developer experience
    • Proven ability to manage, maintain and tune high-availability Oracle databases
    • A sound knowledge of both database and system performance tuning
    • Proven ability to translate non-functional requirements into well-structured, scalable, and efficient codes
    • A good knowledge of Oracle security management
    • A good knowledge of how Oracle acquires and manages resources
    • A good knowledge Oracle data integrity
    • Experience in code migration, database change management and data management through the various stages of the development life cycle. 

    Bonus Experience

    • Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines
    • A good understanding of payment systems
    • Proficiency with source code repository and other software development tools
    • Expertise in oracle Database Tuning
    • Expertise in oracle Application Tuning
    • Relevant Certification. 

    Education

    • Bachelors degree in computing or related discipline with strong academic record required.
    • A relevant postgraduate degree will be an advantage.
