Female Child Caregiver at Millie's International School

We are currently seeking a compassionate, reliable, experienced female Child Caregiver to join our thriving childcare facility. In this role, you will see to the children’s basic needs, provide an enriching learning environment, and create a safe, compassionate “home-away-from home” for our little ones. To succeed in this position, you should be patient, enthusiastic, and fun-loving, with a passion for child development and care.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitor and supervise the health and safety of children
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and orderly environment
• Dress, feed, bath, and oversee children’s play
• Help children maintain good hygiene; helping them with toileting/diaper changes as needed
• Provide infants/toddlers opportunities for enriching age-appropriate educational activities designed to help them gain foundational skills
• Implement schedules designed to ensure that children have adequate physical activity, rest, food and intellectual stimulation
• Keep records of children’s routines throughout the day
• Must be able to commute easily to Idi-Ishin, Jericho, Ibadan

QUALIFICATION

Minimum - NCE, Diploma

ADDED ADVANTAGE:

• First Aid Certification
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum 2 years working experience in similar professional childcare setting

SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Excellent English Language skills (clear written, reading and spoken)
• Computer Literacy
• Compassionate and professional
• Exceptional patience and ability to remain calm at all times
• Excellent listening skills and an engaging demeanour
• Creativity and imagination
• Fun and enthusiastic attitude
• Willingness to sing, dance, and “be silly” with the children
• Physically able to perform tasks, including sitting on the floor, bending, and standing
