Senior Contracts Engineer at Sahara Group

Purpose Statement

• The role is responsible for conducting reviews and considering legal aspects of contract award & administration
• This role is also responsible for preparing and drafting commercial bids and tenders, estimating the costs of a project and ensuring that the costs are controlled.

Key Deliverables

• Develop and/or make relevant input in the development of SOW for EPCIC Type projects
• Prepare BEME or BOQ and build commercial models for capital projects
• Carry out technical/commercial option review of EPCIC project proposals
• Develop technical and commercial evaluation strategy and framework of contractor qualification
• Draft contract terms and technical specification
• Manage Nipex tender process for well engineering and production services
• Carryout project risk analysis and identify cost management initiatives

Minimum Qualification/Experience

• A B.Sc. in Engineering and Physical Science. Second Degree might be an advantage
• Direct oil and gas experience or strong exposure to:
  • EPCIC type projects
  • Facility engineering management
  • Contracting, Procurement and Vain chain optimization operations
  • Contracts and project management experience
• Minimum of 15 years direct technical/operational  experience in facility/Well engineering, procurement and contracting.

Knowledge/Skills:

• Technical and commercial knowledge of EPCIC type projects, risk management and associated value chain optimization process
• Major Capital project management experience
• NAPIMS tendering process
• Stakeholder and contractor management
• Oil and gas industry standards and codes for well and production operations
• Technical writing and presentation skill
• Contracts an project management
• Knowledge of opportunity realization program
• Enterprise and business decision.
