Senior Project Engineer (Pipeline) at Sellafield Energy

This position requires an individual who is well organized and capable of taking a gas pipeline construction project from start-up all the way to completion and close out.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Define and prepare job scopes and cost estimates for The Project
• Interact with various personnel, clients and state and/or federal agencies regarding assigned projects
• Create and maintain project specific documentation during and following completion of project to ensure compliance with state or federal laws, corporate policies and procedures or other governing bodies
• Lead the preparation and delivery of presentations that communicate project proposals, descriptions and status to senior management, state or federal agencies, and/or the public
• Communicate the status of developmental activities to business sponsors
• Develop and provides monthly project cash flow forecasts
• Manage projects, ensuring safety, reliability, environmental and human impacts are mitigated while meeting project goals including, but not limited to schedule, budget, safety and overall quality
• Analyze, monitor and provide recommendations related to process improvement
• May supervise the work of Intermediate and/or Junior Engineers
• May be required to travel

Skills and Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in relevant Engineering field, as well as Construction Management with applicable field experience.

• Minimum 10 years related pipeline and/or pipeline facility design experience (completion of master's degree in related field may be substituted for one year of experience).
• NSE and COREN Certifications
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• This position requires an individual capable of applying intensive and diversified knowledge of principles and practices to broad areas of assignments.
• Must be proficient in pipeline modeling applications.
• Must be familiar with the production of design and construction documents including alignment sheets, P&ID drawings, equipment data sheets, and specifications.
• Requires high level of knowledge and experience working with pipeline design codes and safety requirements.
• Ability to work collaboratively with others (Project Managers, Engineers and Designers) in a multi-discipline project team environment to resolve design or drawing issues as appropriate and to accomplish objectives.
• Interest in coaching less-experienced engineers.
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
