Responsibilities

• Develop, record and maintain cutting edge web-based PHP/Node applications  
• Build innovative, state-of-the-art applications and collaborate with the User Experience (UX) team
• Prepare and maintain all applications utilizing standard development tools
• Utilize backend data services and contribute to increase existing data services API
• Lead the entire web application development life cycle right from concept stage to delivery and post launch support
• Convey effectively with all task progress, evaluations, suggestions, schedules along with technical and process issues
• Ensure operations adhere to policies and regulations
• Keep abreast with all organizational changes and business developments
• Coordinate with co-developers and keeps project manager well informed of the status of development effort
• Keep abreast of new trends and best practices in web development

 Job Requirements

• Bachelors in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS or similar relevant field
• Previous working experience as a PHP/Laravel developer (at least 3 years)
• In-depth knowledge of OOP PHP and the Laravel 5 Framework
• Hands on experience with SQL schema design, SOLID principles, REST API design
• Experience building scalable backend systems (e.g. microservices)
• Experience with microservices architectures, distributed systems, and messaging queues
• Experience with test-driven programming
• Experience working with payments technologies - development/integration
• Experiencing working with JavaScript/Node.js, MEAN (or similar stack)
