School Director at First Excelsia

Our client in the Educational Services Industry requires the services of a SCHOOLS’ DIRECTOR. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the schools’ life cycle as described below:

• Engagement- this involves all the activities in identifying and moving into a new community. Engaging community leaders, obas, chiefs, landlords, prospective parents and other stakeholders to gain access/acceptance into the community.
• School Launch - the incumbent's team will be responsible for recruiting the Academy staff-managers, teachers and most importantly our children, coordinating the opening ceremony and enrollment.
• Management- in charge of the general management, continuous engagement of parents, staffing, working closely with the Academics team on performance management, planning the Academies' activities/calendar, and so on.

Person Specification

• You are data-driven, with experience developing and managing cultures of high performance and high expectations.
• You must be a great academic leader who understands exceptional instruction and can motivate and support others in realizing a vision of academic excellence. 
• You have worked in organizations with a proven track record of generating large learning gains.
• You are an effective and articulate communicator
• Be humble, and ready to “roll up your sleeves” to get things done

Education and Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field, graduate degrees preferred
• 10 years’ experience working in education. 2 or more years of teaching experience with evidence of outsized student learning gains is an added advantage.
• Experience working in the education sector in Nigeria
