Purpose of the Role

• The Magento 2 Developer’s main objective as part of a top digital talent team is to develop and maintain high traffic eCommerce shops for established businesses at a growing phase in the US market, while working to implement latest technologies and create cutting edge solutions.
• One of the first projects you will working on has the ambitious goal of launching a famous shop in the US, the team will be creating both the web store and the mobile companion.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain custom web applications built using Magento 2
• Review and improve existing code to ensure proper functionality of the applications
• Write new and extend existing modules
• Investigate, analyze and fix reported bugs
• Implement Magento 2 best practices
• Be part of the team and follow Agile methodology

Required Experience & Knowledge
Essential:

• Strong Object Oriented PHP development background
• Experience with Magento 2 and MVC architectural patterns
• Good understanding of Magento 2 functionality and code fixing
• Experience building front-end for online shops with technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Less.
• Working knowledge of Version Control Software (Git, SVN)

Advantage:

• Knowledge of optimization, scaling and caching techniques
• Exposure to Prototype, AngularJS, Twitter Bootstrap
• Familiarity with building mobile friendly and responsive sites
• Experience with Varnish

Skills and Attributes:

• Solid problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent time management skills, with patience for troubleshooting code functionality
• Good communication and outstanding teamwork skills

Required Education & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer science or hands-on background in e-commerce industry
• Excellent English communication skills – written and oral
