MyJobMag 30 Day Work Challenge: Day 14 - Exercise

Welcome to Day 14 of MyJobMag 30 Day Work Challenge. The 30 Day Work Challenge is designed to help you get your footing solid either you are starting a new job or as a new manager. You can tweet at us @myjobmag to let us know how you are doing or if you have any questions.

So ready for today’s challenge?

Feeding the mind is great but without a healthy body, you will quickly burn out. There are three components to a balanced life. The spiritual component, the mental component and the physical component. If any of the three suffers, you will likely find it difficult to operate at your peak. Today, I will like you to focus on the physical component. How well are you taking care of your body?

One good thing you can do for yourself is to exercise properly. Exercise is known to have many benefits but it is amazing surprisingly, how few people actually do it. Lack of time, busy schedule, and other countless excuses can keep you from getting proper exercise.

If you have time, I recommend that you join a gym. Too expensive, you will say. Then learn to exercise on your own. Pick a schedule that works for you, either jogging very early in the morning or late at night. However, you can also do some form of exercise at work. Skip the elevator, avoid eating at your desk, take scheduled work around the compound. Stretch for a little time every day. Whatever you do, at any opportunity you have to move around, do so. Not only is this good, but it also helps the blood to circulate well. Remember a healthy body is a healthy individual.

Now that is all for today’s challenge. Join us on LinkedIn or simply drop a comment below, and let us know how you are faring
