A good craftsman is as good as his tools. Depending on where you are coming from, you may need to use some new tools in your new role. Today is time to get familiar with most of the tools you will be using as you do your work. If there are new tools on the deck, then you will probably need to spend time learning about them. And guess what, there are tons of information available. All you need is simple, just Google it.
However, to get ahead really fast, you may want to rather use Google’s Youtube to learn about it. Reading about something is good but when you watch how it is used in a real-life scenario, you quickly get familiar with it.
But, what if you suddenly find yourself in a scenario, where there are not a lot of tools being used or none at all. That is where your experience might come in. So, if you know a tool that can help you in your new role, then it is time to suggest it especially if it is a free tool that you have tested and used before
One tool that can save you tons of hours slaving on data is excel. Excel is very important and used by most Organizations, so having a good knowledge of it is not a bad idea. Sign up for an excel class today. And of course, there are tons of free excel tutorials on Google.
