    Sports Presenter/Producer

    Principal Accountabilities (IPE Factors: Impact & Innovation)

    • Anchor Programmes and sports segment on the news
    • Assist in creating news and programme rundown
    • Source stories online/wire
    • Produce sports copies and corresponding videos or graphics
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Critical Qualifications/Skills/Experience (IPE Factor: Knowledge)

    • Well versed in national and international sports.
    • Strong writing skills.
    • Strong editing skill.
    • Team spirit.
    • Interpersonal relations skill.
    • Accuracy/thoroughness
    • First degree in Mass Communication, Humanities or its equivalent. Post Graduate qualification will be an added advantage
    • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in similar position.

    Camera Operator

    Responsibilities

    • Assembling and taking care of filming equipment
    • Working in the studio as part of the team for live shows
    • Taking and executing instructions from the director in a seamless manner
    • Shooting of red carpets and event coverage
    • Working with producers and assistant producers to shoot pre-packaged content
    • Must be willing to work in a shift system

    Qualification and Skills

    • Must have a minimum of a diploma
    • Must be a trained camera operator
    • Must have a minimum of 3 years recent  camera operations experience
    • Must have  a minimum of 3 years recent experience as a studio and ENG Camera operator
    • Must be familiar with basic camera operations and functions
    • Must have actively operated DSLR and ENG cameras
    • Must know how to frame and light a scene professionally
    • Must be able to record clean sound from interviewer to camera

    Senior Producer

    Principal Accountabilities
    (IPE Factors: Impact & Innovation):

    • A news producer is one of the most integral members of any news production team.
    • Takes all the elements of a newscast (packages, video, graphics, etc.) and compiles them into a cohesive show.
    • Write the script for news anchor(s) to read.
    • Organize the show, to ensure that there is good ‘flow’.
    • Gather leads for possible stories.
    • Monitor the wire agencies/network feeds for potential stories.
    • Ensure videos are edited for voice-overs.
    • Keep in touch with reporters and crew in the field in order to monitor how stories are developing.
    • Write in-show and pre-show teases.
    • Co-ordinate live shots.
    • Other duties as assigned

    Critical Qualifications/Skills/Experience

    • Production skill
    • Timeliness
    • Research oriented
    • Coordination skill
    • Interpersonal relations skill
    • Accuracy/thoroughness
    • First degree in Mass Communication, Humanities or its equivalent. Post Graduate qualification will be an added advantage

    Bulletin Editor


    Principal Accountabilities (IPE Factors: Impact & Innovation)

    • Edits a broad range of stories within the desk’s profile.
    • Works in an integrated way with the desk.
    • Works with reporters on story development.
    • Collaborates with the news desk on visual and graphic components of stories.
    • Exhibits strong news judgement.
    • Proofreads and crosschecks copy and ensures content is consistent with the style guide.
    • Verifies facts, dates, and statistics, using standard reference sources.
    • Develops and executes a strategy to expand and improve local business coverage and grow traffic to the channel.
    • Break business stories.
    • Other duties as assigned

    Critical Qualifications/Skills/Experience (IPE Factor: Knowledge)

    • Strong editing skill
    • Must have strong knowledge of financial market, economics and consumer issues
    • Working knowledge of Nigeria’s media space
    • Knowledge of basic newsroom work tools.
    • Accuracy/thoroughness
    • Competent in the use of Microsoft office
    • First degree in Mass Communication, Social Sciences, Humanities or its equivalent. Post Graduate qualification will be an added advantage
    • Minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in similar position.
