    Logistics Manager

    Summary:
    Responsible for the development of timely, cost effective import and export schemes, proper handling of the technicalities of international transportation which involves a good knowledge of the ports and all the procedures and processes of importation, exportation and general distribution.

    Responsibilities/Functions:

        Handling technical details relating to possibly international transportation such as customs regulations and any necessary documentation.
        Efficient evaluation of costs of transportation, services and inventory within any budget or distribution strategy.
        Documentation of operating procedures and processes, any changes or problems must be documented and communicated accurately.
        Planning routes and load scheduling for multi-drop deliveries.
        Communicating effectively with clients and responding to their requirements.
        Ensuring all partners in the supply chain are working effectively and efficiently to ensure smooth operations.
        Directing all transportation activities.
        Other logistics functions as may be required or directed.

    Qualifications/Requirements:

        Must be educated to degree level and may also be required to hold any relevant qualifications and systems training associated with logistics management.
        3+ years’ experience in logistics management.
        Technical knowledge of the Nigerian ports, importation and exportation processes.
        Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral English language.
        Tact, diplomacy and calmness, especially in dealing with transport personnel and disgruntled customers.
        Excellent geographical knowledge.
        Extensive knowledge of the transport industry.
        Excellent negotiation and communication skill.
        Good intuition to make crucial judgement calls.
        Ability to handle multiple tasks all with an attention to fine details.
        Must be computer literate with ability to use electronic communication methods.

    Job Summary:

    • Responsible for ensuring that the company selects the most appropriate goods and services on the basis of price, quality, delivery times and services support, he must also take the requester interests into consideration.
    • Following up the purchasing requisitions for mechanical, electrical, production, QC/QA and HSE

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Follow up the purchasing requisitions.
    • Conducting market survey and analysis of material cost and prices
    • Create request for quotation(RFQ) and sending it to different vendors to get offers
    • Create purchase orders (PO), follow up goods receiving, create internal invoice, create request for payment to vendor
    • Follow up the PO’s deliveries and payment
    • Evaluate the vendors to get qualified vendor list
    • Ensure that all activities are handled in line with safety regulations
    • Prepare all reports related to electrical purchasing activities required (daily, monthly and yearly)

    B.Sc from Engineering

    JOB SUMMARY
    Responsible for ensuring that all the items in the warehouse are located in the right location and in good condition and always keep the warehouse safe and clean.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Implement the issuing and receiving process physically and record transaction on the system
    • Implement the P.M processes for the items (rotate motor shafts; grease the fabricated metal items etc.)
    • Arrange the items in the warehouse to be easily handled and found and ensure that the warehouse is clean and safe
    • Prepare the yearly and monthly physical count (complete physical count) and help in some reports to the warehouse section head
    • Prepare the inventory reports
    • Ensure that all activities are handled in line with safety regulations.

    EDUCATION

    • BSC/HND in any field of Engineering or any related field

    KNOWLEDGE & SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE

    • 2 - 4 years in related field.

    Head of Warehouse (PLANT)

    JOB SUMMARY
    Manage all aspects of the warehouse and ensure that all the warehouse employees implement NLS policy through all the inventory process.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
    Establish the reorder point and economic order quantity for the general supplies
    Conducting a daily audit of inventory
    Overseeing all inventory transactions.
    Controlling the level of the stock of items.
    Compiling inventory reports and for review and analysis
    Scheduling shifts and evaluating the working of inventory staff and subordinates.
    Making inventory budgets.
    Helping the financial departments to perform yearly physical count
    Provide the necessary trainings for the inventory staff
    Ensuring timely release for the site requirements
    Communicate between the site & the procurement department, especially in the emergency cases.
    Ensuring timely the quality, the packaging, the quantity and the documents of the delivered materials.
    Ensuring that all stocks comply with the quality standards.
    Implementing the 5S program inside & around the warehouse.
    Submitting reports for the procurement department about the quality of the receiving items.

    EDUCATION
    BSC in any field of Engineering

    KNOWLEDGE & SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE
    5-10 years in warehouse or preparation department in cement field.
