  • Propcom Mai-karfi is a six year DFID- funded programme that started in December 2011. The goal of this six year programme is increased incomes for the poor through enhanced employment opportunities in Northern Nigeria. The purpose is increased employment and improved productivity in selected agricultural and rural market systems in Northern Nigeria.
    GRM Propcom Mai-karfi is currently hiring seasoned professionals to join the team. These are important positions within the programme. Both positions are exciting but challenging requiring commitment and flexibility, and a range of intellectual skills. The successful candidates will lead and manage their own work.

    Personnel Manager

     

    Details
    The Personnel Manager will be responsible for providing effective customer service to programme staff and consultants in the areas of administration, facilities, security and human resource services in accordance to set standards and procedures.

    The successful candidate will contribute to the programme by:

    • Establishing and managing the programme's human resources and employee relations policies and procedures.
    • S/he will also be responsible for managing the programme's facilities and security function by ensuring that proper service standards are consistently met.
    • S/he will also provide immigration liaison services for the programme ensuring that all international programme staff and consultants have the required legal documentation for the duration of their assignments with Propcom Mai-Karfi

    Intervention/Business Development Manager

     

    Details
    The Intervention/Business Development Manager will lead and manage 2-3 programme interventions which involve the following functions: design, strategy, plan, communicate, control, monitor and reporting the intervention activities. S/he will develop and
    maintain close relationships with project partners (mostly businesses), while overseeing and coordinating the implementation of project interventions.

    Requirements

    • If you have a strong commitment to improving the lives of poor rural women and men, are physically and emotionally robust, have a business attitude, and an ability to work in a multi-disciplinary and multi-national team, then we would like to hear from you.
    • Fluency in Hausa language is desirable forthis post.
    • This position is based in Abuja but the successful candidate will be required to travel extensively within of Northern Nigeria.
