    Creative Strategist/Copywriter & Project Content Manager

    Reports to: The Creative Director / Chief Executive Officer Grade level: LSG-03B Supervises: Content Coordinators, Writers, Strategists, Social Media Manager.

    Job Summary:

    • Researching, developing, and writing new business proposal decks that are creative and clearly convey clients’ goals through both strategic and tactical means
    • Developing and driving creative concepts
    • Customer relationship management
    • Marketing strategy development and execution
    • Development, production, marketing and sales of all media content required to deliver the objectives of the company.
    • General content management Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Craft copy from overall vision and concept to specific activation elements, etc.
    • Work hand-in-hand with internal design, production and talent departments to ensure deliverables for proposals
    • Participate in communications which may include pitch, email, correspondence, phone calls and meetings
    • Compile materials and backup for post-event case studies
    • Develop high quality media content, including but not limited to, event content, advert content, website and social media content; on time and on budget.
    • Manage the company’s media/digital assets.
    • Develop and activate a content marketing plan designed to generate income from the company’s content.
    • Keeping up-to-date with new trends, latest and future industry software and tools and the most appropriate techniques for the needs of the company.
    • Source and manage suitable suppliers for content, digital and media services.
    • Conducting the research required to evolve creative ideas and concepts into realistic and deliverable content.
    • Delivering content, documentation or other marketing activity within budget, deadlines and in line with individual targets.
    • Developing robust KPIs for reporting on content and digital marketing strategies.
    • Taking an active role in presenting content marketing strategies to current and potential new clients.
    • Working with social media to increase reach and brand awareness both organic and paid.
    • Provide strategic direction and oversee content development, using numbers to back up your brilliant insights and getting stuck in with marketing tech wherever necessary to ensure the work is effective and measurable.
    • Get involved in new business development opportunities.
    • Other duties as required.

    Qualifications, Competency & Skills Required:

    • Minimum 5 years’ experience of the content, digital media or creative industries in Nigeria.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Media, Marketing, the arts, marketing or Mass Communication.
    • Experienced Microsoft Office user, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
    • Competent Internet, email and Google applications user.
    • Sound knowledge of the entertainment industry within Nigeria.
    • Minimum three years of experience working on experiential marketing/communication campaigns with a high level of proficiency in writing.
    • Background and knowledge of production and events preferred.
    • Strong communicator – verbal and written; excellent writer with a background in marketing.
    • Knowledge of cutting edge trends and consumer audiences.
    • Experience in working directly with clients.
    • Adaptable to a changing environment; able to maintain tight deadlines and work under pressure.

    • Able to develop excellent working relationships both internally and externally.
    • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and a professional manner and approach.
    • Able to cope well when under pressure from competing priorities, unpredictable requests and interruptions.
    • Keenly interested in the entertainment industry and production and understands the terminology and nuances of the industry sector.

    Key Performance Indicators:

    • Development of required content on time and on budget.
    • Customer satisfaction and retention.
    • The volume and value of the commercialisation of the company’s content.
    • The volume of audience and audience engagement for company’s platforms and content.

    Location:
    Lagos, Nigeria, and other locations as required. Hours:
    9am to 5pm Mondays to Fridays plus other hours as required.
