Pharmacy Assistant at NSIA-LUTH Cancer Center (NLCC)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist the Pharmacist in carrying out the day to day Pharmacy activities.
• Maintain patient and medication records
• Manage inventory by monitoring and ensuring adequate levels of pharmacy consumables, medical consumables and routine drugs;
• Monitor the temperature of the Refrigerator for proper storage of pharmaceutical products;
• Drugs expiration date check
• Shelving and disbursement of medications
• Preparing labels, assembling intravenous solutions and other pharmaceutical therapies.
• Verifying the accuracy of patient information and recording on the Center EMR and other software.
• Counting prescription medication, filing prescriptions, typing and attaching medication labels.
• Delivering quality customer service to patients, responding to inquiries, questions, or requests, and referring them to the pharmacist for medical information
• Perform  other  duties  as  maybe  assignment  within     the unit;

JOB REQUIREMENT

• Minimum of three years’ experience in either hospital or community Pharmacy practice.
• Minimum of HND/BSc in a related discipline.
• Must be computer literate
• Must be proficient in typing
• Self-motivated and good attitude to work, flexible and organized
• Maintains honesty, integrity, confidentiality, and high levels of efficiency and accuracy at all times.
• Must have good communication and interpersonal skills
• Must have good Knowledge of pharmacy law and medical terminology
• Good oral and written communication skills, problem solving and good team player.
• Must be resident in Lagos
