    Vice President, People Operations (Human Resources)

    About The Role

    • The Vice President People Operations will be responsible for providing executive-level leadership and guidance to the company's People Operations team.
    • The Vice President is responsible for setting, enforcing, and evaluating legally compliant People Operations policies, procedures, and best practices, and identifying and implementing long-term strategic talent management goals.

    Job Description

    • Responsible for the translation of corporate strategy and organisation plans into the People and Performance strategy and associated key performance indicators.
    • Review business processes and organisational structures to determine their fit with best practices and business strategy
    • Lead the implementation of approved business processes and structures in a way that minimises disruptions to business operations.
    • Perform organisational leadership analysis to determine the nature of future management and leadership competencies required by the business.
    • Develop and implement various developmental programmes for the identified talent pool (e.g., management development programmes, executive development programmes and supervisory development programmes)
    • Evaluate and validate training interventions for senior managers and executives in line with the Learning Return on Investment (ROI) methodology.
    • Implement a robust performance management system that ensures proper alignment of performance with business objectives and strategy.
    • Identify and recommend to the Leadership, reward systems and processes that attract, motivate, and retain employees.
    • Develop and update recruitment, selection and placement systems and procedures in line with business strategy.
    • Manage the effective administration of various staff benefits in line with company policy e.g., long service awards, motor vehicle loans, medical insurance etc
    • Develop and manage an employee communication plan to ensure that staff is aware of relevant information, policies and procedures that enhance productivity.
    • Advice management on disciplinary and grievance handling matters.
    • Develop and implement effective and efficient HR systems that promote efficiencies across the business.
    • Oversee the development of surveys in order to determine the level of employee engagement to the mission, vision and values of the business.
    • Champion the implementation of all HR transformation interventions to ensure that they are implemented with minimal disruption of business operations and employee engagement levels.
    • Ascertain the job cover ratio for the key positions and determine the talent gap.
    • Coordinate, review, and present periodic monthly management HR Dashboard reports and special purpose reports required by the Executive Committee.
    • Ensure that performance data is systematically analysed to identify training needs and inform wider workforce planning. Work with People Ops team to consider the impact of employment practices and processes on staff performance.

    Experience & Education

    • Track record of developing strong partnerships internally and externally and using influence (rather than direct authority) to make change

    Technical Product Manager

    About The Role

    • We are looking for a talented and qualified senior technical product manager to join our product team. At Vendease we are building procurement and financial services for restaurants, hotels and other food businesses.
    • Our products include procurement dashboards, supplier dashboards, Inventory Management systems and embedded financial tools.

    What You’ll Be Doing

    • Manage product development projects concentrating on identified areas. Liaise with all relevant departments/markets to ensure the quality, the consistency and the success of the developments related to identified projects.
    • Coordinate the development of communication tools with specialised teams including writing user stories, product requirement documentation.
    • Manage the budget allocated to various projects.
    • Management of consumer centric product & portfolio, respecting the business needs.
    • Build strong relationship with our partners & suppliers to ensure smooth project developments Formulate and deliver effective sales & marketing strategies and plan to achieve business objectives
    • Responsible for brand building & management (including product innovation and renovation). Initiate and manage programs & projects on a timely basis that complement approved strategies.
    • Plan and execute a full range of marketing activities, e.g. advertising, branding, CRM, PR, digital & data-driven marketing etc.
    • Work with Line Managers and brand team to transfer category visions and plans into local marketing execution plans. Identify relevant market and consumer insights and turn those insights into opportunities to satisfy customer needs.
    • Work with Suppliers (Manufacturers, Farmers, Distributors) to understand their needs and create products to digitise their needs.
    • Create business requirements for dashboard and supply side.
    • Facilitate the quick on-boarding of suppliers following proper KYC documentation.
    • Manage relationships with suppliers and ensure to have classified information for business purposes due to relationship
    • Create and implement business plans of activities that will introduce Vendease to its target market in a bid to enhance her image position in the Agrotech and Fintech space.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or any IT-related field /proven work experience
    • Minimum of 6 years of experience in the same capacity

    Head of Product

    About Role

    • As the Head of products, you will be a key member of the product leadership team responsible for crafting the vision and strategy for our products - Vendease e-Procurement, Vendease Inventory Management System, CostEasy, Point of Purchase and FoodDI - while scaling critical growth engine of our business.
    • You will also be responsible for overseeing the delivery and management of the Vendease products.

    What You’ll do

    • Collaborate with senior leaders and executives across Vendease to clearly define and articulate the product vision and desired functionality, scalability and success metrics for our Product Users
    • Take charge of the product vision and plan the roadmap for all Vendease product to ultimately drive user adoption and self-service
    • Ensure in-depth analyses of user cohorts in terms of key commercial metrics as well as attributes such as demographic, location, customer segment/business vertical etc. to guide roadmap decisions
    • Influence, oversee and be accountable for all Vendease product delivery by ensuring the team run frequent field trips and in person user research to deepen understanding of the target persona and most pressing needs
    • Drive design, prototyping, A/B testing and solution development of key features to attract & retain more users and improve key metrics
    • Creatively overcome challenges to deliver value for large customers in a scalable way that unlocks future growth opportunities for the company
    • Become an active promoter for the Vendease Product team, including the creation of future product vision and strategy with product roadmaps, and report out to a variety of stakeholders and senior leadership on metrics and adoption
    • Facilitate a collaborative and agile environment, while also leading process improvement efforts
    • Manage a team of seasoned product leaders with a large and growing set of surface area and products
    • Partnering with internal Product and Tech teams, partners, and contractors to creatively deliver on product commitments

    Requirements

    • 10+ years of product management experience (including 3+ years of executive leadership experience)
    • Specific experience leading and building SaaS/Software products that have scaled beyond Nigeria and for large enterprises
    • Proven experience in working with large customers to deliver solutions at scale
    • Entrepreneurial spirit in building new products and services
    • A track record of success in managing Product Managers and in building a high performing product management team
    • Knowledge of restaurant/hospitality industry and a background in software development is a plus
    • Good command of Jira and SQL
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skill

    • Global experience in a high-growth, fast-paced environment, ideally in the technology or consumer goods sectors
    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
    • Proven ability to manage and develop a team of finance professionals in multiple locations and entities
    • Experience with fundraising, M&A, and other strategic transactions
