    Trade Analyst

    ROLE PURPOSE

    • The Trade Analyst is responsible for providing data-driven insights, market intelligence, and performance reporting to support Welcome2Africa International (W2A) Trade’s export operations, trade facilitation activities, and global buyer–seller matchmaking. The role ensures accurate tracking of volumes, values, margins, and KPIs to enable informed decision-making and efficient trade execution.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Trade Data & Market Analysis

    • Conduct market research on agricultural and solid mineral commodities, with primary focus on cocoa and cocoa derivatives.
    • Track global price trends, buyer demand, and export market requirements.
    • Analyze trade opportunities and provide recommendations to support deal structuring and negotiations.

    KPI Tracking & Performance Monitoring

    • Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly performance against the Trade Department’s KPIs.
    • Track cocoa nibs aggregation volumes, export readiness, trade values, and conversion rates.
    • Maintain accurate performance dashboards for internal review and management reporting.

    CRM & Database Management

    • Maintain and update the Trade CRM, including suppliers, buyers, exporters, and partners.
    • Track buyer–seller matchmaking pipelines, deal status, LOIs, and conversion progress.
    • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness across all trade records.

    Reporting & Documentation Support

    • Prepare daily summaries, weekly dashboards, and monthly trade reports for management.
    • Support margin analysis, cost tracking, and profitability reporting for cocoa nibs exports.
    • Assist in preparing donor, partner, and internal performance reports where required.

    QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Finance, Agriculture, International Trade, or related field
    • 1-2 years’ experience in trade analysis, market research, supply chain, or export operations
    • Strong analytical and data management skills
    • Experience with CRM systems, Excel, and reporting tools
    • Understanding of export processes and commodity trade is an advantage

    Finance Officer

    • The Finance Officer will play a critical role in supporting investors and stakeholders by providing accurate financial insights, implementing robust financial controls, and ensuring transparency in reporting. This role requires someone who can balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution to help us achieve our mission of fostering sustainable trade and investment opportunities within and across Africa.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Financial Management & Reporting:

    • Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with international accounting standards.
    • Provide timely and insightful financial analysis to support decision making across the organization.
    • Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and financial models to align with the company’s strategic objectives.

    Internal Controls & Compliance:

    • Establish and enforce internal financial policies, procedures, and controls to safeguard assets and ensure regulatory compliance.
    • Monitor adherence to local and international tax laws, audit requirements, and other financial regulations.
    • Coordinate external audits and liaise with auditors to ensure smooth processes and accurate reporting.

    Cash Flow Management:

    • Manage cash flow projections and optimize working capital to ensure liquidity for operational needs.
    • Oversee treasury functions, including banking relationships, foreign exchange risk management, and funding strategies.

    Investor Relations & Stakeholder Support:

    • Prepare detailed financial reports and presentations for investors, partners, and key stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to provide tailored financial advice that supports trade and investment objectives.

    Strategic Planning & Growth Initiatives:

    • Contribute to the development of long term business strategies aligned with the company’s mission of driving sustainable economic growth in Africa.
    • Identify opportunities for cost optimization, revenue enhancement, and process improvements.

    Team Leadership & Development:

    • Lead, mentor, and develop a high performing finance team to deliver exceptional results.
    • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement within the finance department.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Banking and Finance, Investments or a related field.
    • Professional certifications such as ICAN, ACA or similar certifications is an added advantage
    • Minimum of 3 - 5 years of progressive experience in financial management, preferably within trade, investment, or related industries.
    • Experience in sectors like Agriculture, Maritime, Solid Minerals, or Renewable Energy is highly desirable.
    • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.
    • Proficiency in advanced financial software and ERP systems.
    • Flexible to work overtime and weekends when necessary, very available and responsive

    Investment Analyst

    • We are seeking a driven and analytical Investment Analyst to join our team. This role plays a vital part in connecting credible investment opportunities with the right investors. You will lead efforts in investor sourcing, deal structuring, due diligence, and post-investment monitoring—contributing meaningfully to Africa’s economic growth story

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Design and implement investor sourcing and engagement strategies in alignment with W2A’s Investment & Trade Facilitation (ITF) objectives.
    • Identify, profile, and engage investors based on ticket sizes, risk appetite, and sector interests.
    • Facilitate investor matching, ensuring alignment with opportunity requirements and expectations.
    • Conduct financial modeling, feasibility studies, and risk assessments for potential deals.
    • Support due diligence processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory, financial, and legal standards.
    • Coordinate deal room activities including investor presentations, Q&A sessions, and negotiations.
    • Track investment performance and manage reporting to key stakeholders post-deal.
    • Monitor trends in the investment landscape, policy developments, and market dynamics.
    • Prepare high-quality investment memos, reports, and documentation for internal and external use.

    Skills & Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Investment, or a related field (Professional Certification is a plus).
    • Solid experience in investment analysis, due diligence, and stakeholder engagement.
    • Strong financial modeling/reporting and analytical skills.
    • Proficiency with investment tools and software.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
    • Must be able to work full-time and on-site.

    Head,Communications / Digital Marketing

    Role Overview:

    • The Communications/Digital Marketing Specialist will be responsible for developing and managing all aspects of W2A’s communication and digital marketing strategies. This includes overseeing content creation, managing website traffic, optimizing SEO, handling CRM and lead generation, running digital campaigns, and driving engagement across social media platforms. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in both traditional communication and digital marketing, with a proven ability to increase brand visibility and drive sales for events and programs.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Digital Marketing Strategy: Design and implement comprehensive digital marketing strategies to boost W2A’s brand visibility, increase website traffic, and drive conversions through multiple channels (social media, email, SEO, etc.).
    • Lead Generation & CRM Management: Leverage CRM systems and tools like Apollo to identify and engage leads. Create targeted digital campaigns to nurture prospects and convert leads into clients or event attendees.
    • Content Creation & Management: Oversee the creation and management of high-quality content across W2A’s digital platforms (website, social media, newsletters), ensuring consistency and alignment with strategic goals.
    • SEO & Traffic Optimization: Utilize advanced SEO practices to optimize W2A’s website and content for search engines, increasing organic traffic and ensuring high visibility across relevant platforms.
    • Social Media Engagement: Lead social media efforts, crafting engaging posts, managing online communities, and responding to inquiries to grow audience engagement and drive participation in events and programs.
    • Campaign Execution: Design, launch, and manage digital marketing campaigns, including email marketing, PPC advertising, and social media ads, aimed at increasing participation in W2A events and programs.
    • Media Relations & PR: Build and maintain media relationships, securing press coverage for W2A’s events and initiatives. Manage all public relations activities to promote brand credibility and authority.
    • Performance Analytics & Reporting: Monitor digital marketing performance using tools like Google Analytics, and create regular reports that provide insights on KPIs such as traffic, conversion rates, and ROI.
    • Collaboration & Coordination: Work closely with internal teams, especially sales and business development, to align digital marketing strategies with broader organizational goals and ensure a seamless customer journey.

    Qualifications & Skills:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Digital Media, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
    • 5+ years of experience in communications, digital marketing, or related fields, with a proven track record of managing successful campaigns that drive brand growth and sales.
    • Expertise in Digital Marketing: In-depth knowledge of digital marketing strategies, including SEO, PPC, social media marketing, email marketing, and content marketing.
    • Proficiency in CRM & Lead Generation: Experience using CRM systems like HubSpot, Salesforce, or Apollo for lead management, campaign execution, and performance tracking.
