    Technical Service Chemist

    To support oilfield chemical operations through laboratory testing, field evaluation and performance optimization. Ensure product quality, safety, and environmental compliance while maintaining accurate records, reliable equipment and adherence standards.

    Job Details

    • To provide laboratory and field technical support for oil field chemical operations by conducting tests, maintaining analytical accuracy, and ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 Quality Management System, safety, and environmental standards.
    • Conduct laboratory evaluations of oil field chemicals (demulsifiers, deoilers, corrosion inhibitors, etc.) to support product qualification and performance monitoring.
    • Assist in the design and development of new formulations by performing comparative laboratory studies and validation tests.
    • Maintain complete records of laboratory data, results, and corrective/preventive measures as per QMS documentation control.
    • Ensure all test instruments and laboratory equipment are properly calibrated, serviced, and maintained in good working condition.
    • Support in collecting produced fluids (crude oil, produced water, etc.) from field operations for laboratory analysis and treatment efficiency checks.
    • Ensure proper sample labeling, traceability, and safe handling in accordance with MSDS and company procedures.
    • Maintain operating tools and accessories used for field chemical applications, ensuring readiness and reliability.
    • Assist Technical Service Engineers in conducting field trials and chemical injection monitoring.
    • Report promptly to the Head of Department on any non-conformity or deviation observed during field or lab operations.
    • Ensure all field equipment and accessories are operated safely and in accordance with established procedures.
    • Submit daily/weekly laboratory and field data, including corrective and preventive actions, to the Head of Department for consolidation.
    • Maintain controlled copies of laboratory SOPs, MSDS, formulations, test reports, and client correspondence.
    • Prepare technical service reports, result summaries, and non-conformance records for management review.
    • Adhere strictly to the ISO 9001 Quality System requirements and contribute to internal audits and continual improvement initiatives.
    • Comply with site and company safety policies as well as environmental regulations (ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 where applicable).
    • Ensure good housekeeping and cleanliness in all laboratories and field work areas at all times.
    • Participate in toolbox meetings, risk assessments, and safety awareness programs.
    • Initiate reporting of non-conformities and suggest corrective actions.
    • Request calibration, maintenance, or replacement of faulty laboratory equipment.
    • Internally Interfaces with Technical sales Engineer, Technical Service Engineers and Quality Control.

    Requirements

    • B.Sc / HND chemistry /Sciences/Social sciences
    • 3 to 5 Years experience in Chemical Application & Lab equipment.
    • Analytical and methodical approach to laboratory work.
    • Accuracy and precision in testing and data reporting.
    • Safety-conscious and compliant with all HSE procedures.
    • Team-oriented, with effective communication and collaboration skills

    HSE Coordinator

    The HSE Coordinator will support the implementation and continuous improvement of Health, Safety, and Environment standards across the Group. The role involves coordinating HSE audits, risk assessments, incident investigations, compliance activities, and safety training programs. The successful candidate will promote a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements across all business locations. They will also oversee HSE reporting and support workplace safety initiatives. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.

    Job Details

    • Conduct and coordinate HSE audits, inspections, and risk assessments across the Group to ensure compliance with the safety culture and ensure continual improvement.
    • Coordinate incident investigations and ensure compliance with recommended actions to prevent recurrence. 
    • Conduct/review the risk assessments for the Head Office and other locations.
    • Coordinate emergency drills for the Head Office.
    • Coordinate the drill schedule for all subsidiaries within the Group at the start of the year.
    • Ensure the compliance of the Group HSE regulatory compliance tracker across location.
    • Coordinate and ensure that all compiled reports (monthly, quarterly, and annual) are sent by the appropriate date. 
    • Coordinate safety training across the Group.
    • Coordinate the HSE induction for TGI Head Office, TGI Distri, and CHI Pharmaceuticals new employees as relevant to their roles and responsibilities. 
    • Coordinate the renewals of safety-related SLAs for the Group before their expiration date. 
    • Ensure the monthly inspection of firefighting equipment for the Head Office and Titan Bank Ilupeju. 
    • Ensure the monthly inspection of the first aid boxes for the Head Office and Titan Bank Ilupeju.
    • Follow up on the pending unsafe conditions for the Head Office. 
    • Ensure quarterly fumigation is conducted for the Head Office at the appropriate date. 
    • Create and send out the weekly HSE nuggets for the Group. 
    • Coordinate any HSE project event for the Group.
    • Ensure monthly report is ready within stipulated time and ensure annual reports are prepared by the end of the year.
    • Any other function as stipulated by the head of department

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Sciences, Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related discipline.
    • Relevant professional certifications or recognized HSE certification will be an added advantage.
    • Minimum of 4 - 5 years' experience in Health, Safety, and Environment management
