Duties

• Verify and ensure proper functioning of all components of the machines and auxiliary
• Operate the machine in accordance with the established standard operating procedure and speed targets.
• Ensure material wastages from machine are kept at minimum acceptable level
• Report all malfunctions and constraints to the line Technical Supervisor
• Apply all company provided protective wears and gadgets and comply with all Health and Safety rules
• Carry out recommended maintenance as per checklist to ensure equipment reliability
• Ensure acceptable level of cleanliness in dressing and immediate work area in line with good house keeping practice
• Avoid cross contamination of product due to unhygienic state of equipment
• Implement change-over programs as per production schedule.

Requirements

• The candidate should possess a First Degree or its equivalent in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related discipline. Membership in NSE and COREN certification is an added advantage.
• The candidate must have a minimum of 2 years ofjob-relevant experience in a well-structured FMCG (bottling) company, specifically with expertise in Krones Machines.

Description 

• As a qualified Civil/Structural Engineer with relevant experience, you will be responsible for contributing towards the preparation of Civil/Structural Designs and deliverables for basic/conceptual, Front End Engineering Design (FEED) and Detailed Engineering Design (DED) according to specifications, and other civil/structural Engineering duties.

Key Functions / Responsibilities

• Carryout out Civil/Structural Engineering design and other deliverables for feasibility studies, conceptual/basic engineering, FEED and DED.
• Prepare Civil/structural concrete and Steel Design calculations
• Prepare of a fit-for-purpose steel and concrete detailed drawings.
• Carry out design of Foundations for equipment, shelters, pipe supports/Piperack, platforms, etc.
• Prepare of Concrete and Steel technical specifications.
• Prepare material take-offs and Tender documents.
• Ability to interpret Geotechnical and Topographical reports for a fit-for- purpose foundation design.
• Perform inter-discipline design checks
• Visits site for approvals, verification and as-built documentation.
• Adhere to the Scope of Work (SoW) and the prepared Master Document Register as it concerns Civil/structural discipline.

Requirements

• B.Eng in Civil / Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years experience in similar role.
• Civil/Structural engineering expertise and competency in Basic Design, FEED and Detailed design.
• Excellent use of Engineering Softwares such as SACS, STAAD.Pro, Tekla, Robot Structural, Revit Structural, AutoCAD.
• Conversant with National and International Codes, Standards and Engineering Practices used in the industry AISC, ACI, API-RP2A, Eurocodes and other international standards and company codes
• Good command of English and reporting skills
• Ability to learn fast and multi-task
