    Team Lead - Credit Administration

    Description

    • The Team Lead – Credit Administration is responsible within the Risk Management department, for ensuring that facilities are availed according to approval terms and in a timely manner.

    Functions and Responsibilities

    • Ensure loans are disbursed in line with approvals within SLA.
    • Conduct call-over of all transactions booked in the preceding day
    • Attend to enquiries from Account Officer on behalf of their customers on credit issues
    • Control loan disbursements by ensuring all terms and conditions of approval have been met & all security documentation is in place
    • Responsible for vetting and registering conditions precedent to draw down documents for loan facilities
    • Endorse shipping documents from FOPS to clear such of any credit indebtedness to the bank
    • Ensure loan booking documents are filed
    • Perform other functions assigned by the Head , Credit Administration

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline. Relevant Masters’ degree will be an advantage.
    • Minimum of 7- 8 years post qualification experience in credit risk management within the Financial Services Industry.

    Preferred Certifications:

    • Recognised professional certification such as ACCA, ACA, CFP, IT Certifications are an advantage.

    German Desk Manager

    About the job

    • The German Desk Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining contacts with the local German business community. You will also oversee and lead effective relationships across industry players like SMEs, Corporates, and other stakeholders.

    Functions And Responsibilities

    • Identify and educate potential customers on the bank's products and services
    • Onboard new businesses
    • Actively monitor local market developments in the German SME and Corporate financing area
    • Organize, participate in internal/external events, and prepare relevant promotional presentations and other materials as required
    • Manage relationships with stakeholders and ensure effective follow-up of business leads
    • Understand clients' overall business requirements and strategic objectives
    • Coordinate relevant internal processes and ensure smooth cooperation with Access Bank services (legal, risk management, compliance etc.) in the context of new portfolio transactions
    • Communicate regularly with key client contacts and ensure operational excellence
    • Work with clients to document project needs and requirements
    • Contribute to the creation of proposals and presentations to existing clients
    • Facilitate internal and external meetings and manage meeting summaries as needed
    • Stay current on processes and timelines to ensure projects progress in a timely manner
    • Identify opportunities, issues, and other inflection points
    • Contribute to company innovation, knowledge base, and marketing/sales efforts
    • Responsible for crafting and executing the strategy for the Desk which includes Go-To-Market plans
    • Engage and leverage relationships with internal stakeholders
    • Agreeing the budgets for the Desk and meeting all financial metrics as advised
    • Meeting deliverables as assigned by the MD/CEO of the Bank, ED and GH of Commercial Banking

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field
    • Minimum of 10 years of working experience in the field of commercial/Corporate banking, including trade finance
    • A recognized professional certification will be an added advantage

    Skills / Competence Requirements

    • Proven knowledge of German and Nigerian culture
    • Affinity with impact investing
    • Ability to build productive internal and external working relationships and build a network in an international environment, take up opportunities independently and can create support for this
    • Self-starting mentality and an eagerness to be part of a new team and business
    • Demonstrated resourcefulness, strong work ethic, attention to detail, and self-motivation
