Job Description
The Candidate will be:

• Responsible for the smooth running of designated rooms through the structured timetable and school guidelines.
• Effective teaching.
• Promote the general care and welfare of all children and more particularly, the children in designated classrooms.
• Maintain a daily register and supervise children in and out of the classroom, during other extra-curricular activities.
• Study and discover the personality of each student in your care.
• Work with the School management to develop and maintain the school program and use the weekly themed scheme.
• Organize relevant and appropriate field trips and outings.
• Maintain the standard and complete sets of Montessori materials and create appropriate new ones.
• Ensure all parents’ policies and procedures are followed, and all relevant forms, from and for parents,are completed and collected daily.
• Conduct or arrange the general cleaning of your classroom and ensure it is safe for the children.
• Prepare termly reports regarding the student's progress and development.
• Be willing to work in other classrooms of the School when required.
• Organize and attend ‘Parent Teacher Conferences’ every term

Qualifications

• A minimum of NCE
• Minimum of 2 Years experience as an Elementary Educator
• First Aid certified.

• Competent in Arts & Craft
• Ability to create and maintain a prepared environment, plan ahead, and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of childcare and the required Health & Safety and Policy & Procedures standards in a Montessori / preschool setting
• Sincere and genuine love of children.
• Self-motivated and able to motivate others.
• Good organizational and communication skills.
• Possess basic Computer skills.
• Flexible and an effective team player
• Initiative and ability to cope under pressure.

Responsibilities
As a secondary school teacher, you'll need to:

• prepare and deliver lessons to classes of different ages and abilities
• mark work, give appropriate feedback, and maintain records of pupils' progress and development
• research new topic areas, maintain up-to-date subject knowledge, and devise and write new curriculum materials
• prepare pupils for qualifications and external examinations
• manage pupil behavior in the classroom and on school premises, and apply appropriate and effective measures in cases of misbehavior
• undertake pastoral duties, such as taking on the role of form tutor, and supporting pupils on an individual basis through academic or personal difficulties
• communicate with parents and carers over pupils' progress and participate in departmental meetings.
• supervise and support the work of teaching assistants, trainee teachers and early career teachers (ECTs)
• organize and participate in extracurricular activities, such as outings, lunchtime clubs, social activities and sporting events.
