    Supply Chain Manager

    Job Description

    • The Supply Chain Manager will ensure the seamless flow of inputs and products across Pullus’ farmer and customer network.
    • This includes managing logistics, inventory, and distribution to guarantee efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and reliability. The role is critical to aligning production cycles with market demand, reducing wastage, and ensuring Pullus delivers at scale.

    Key Responsibilities
    Logistics & Distribution:

    • Supervise Logistics Officers to coordinate farm pickups, processing schedules, and customer deliveries.
    • Negotiate and manage relationships with transport providers.
    • Monitor cost per kg for distribution and optimize routes

    Inventory Management:

    • Supervise Inventory Officers to maintain accurate stock records.
    • Reconcile incoming (farm collections), processing outputs, and customer dispatches.
    • Ensure systems track availability in real time.

    Supply & Demand Alignment:

    • Work with Sales to align customer orders with available stock.
    • Coordinate with Extension/Procurement teams for timely input flow to farmers.

    Technology & Reporting:

    • Use ERP/digital dashboards to track inventory, movement, and KPIs.
    • Provide timely supply chain performance reports to management.

    Risk & Compliance:

    • Identify and mitigate risks such as delays, shortages, or breakdowns in logistics.
    • Ensure safety and regulatory compliance in transportation and storage handovers.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s/MBA is an advantage).
    • 7–10 years’ progressive experience in supply chain leadership, preferably in agribusiness or FMCG.
    • Proven expertise in procurement, logistics, inventory, and financial models that support supply chain operations.
    • Strong knowledge of cold chain management, distribution, and agricultural value chains.
    • Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and team leadership skills.
    • Strong expertise in logistics and inventory systems (ERP/digital tools).

    Inventory Officer

    Job Summary

    • The Inventory Officer is responsible for overseeing and managing all inventory operations to ensure accurate tracking, proper storage and accountability of stock items across the organization.
    • This role ensures optimal stock availability, minimizes losses, supports operational efficiency and maintains compliance with company policies and safety standards.
    • The officer will work closely with inventory, procurement, purchasing, and other departments to ensure effective inventory planning, control and reporting.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Oversee and manage inventory operations, ensuring accurate tracking and documentation of all stock items in accordance with company policies and industry standards.
    • Conduct regular physical inventory counts to verify stock levels, identify discrepancies and ensure inventory accuracy.
    • Maintain and update inventory records, including all receipts, issues, transfers, and adjustments, ensuring real time tracking of stock movement.
    • Monitor stock levels and coordinate with purchasing to replenish products as necessary, ensuring continuous availability while avoiding overstocking or stockouts.
    • Inspect stored goods and materials to ensure they meet quality standards and are appropriately stored to prevent damage, loss, or deterioration.
    • Collaborate with inventory staff to ensure efficient and organized storage of materials, maximize space utilization, and optimize retrieval processes.
    • Ensure compliance with safety regulations related to the storage and handling of inventory, including hazardous or sensitive materials where applicable.
    • Assist the team lead in the development and management of inventory related budgets, supporting cost control and efficient stock utilization.
    • Work closely with quality assurance, purchasing, procurement, sales, and operations teams to forecast inventory needs and ensure timely availability of materials to meet business requirements.
    • Investigate inventory discrepancies, variances, losses, or damages, determine root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions.
    • Prepare routine inventory reports, including stock levels, usage trends, discrepancies and reorder requirements for management review.
    • Maintain proper documentation for all inventory transactions, approvals and stock movements.
    • Ensure accurate filing (physical and digital) of inventory records and supporting documents.
    • Support periodic audits by providing accurate records and assisting with verification exercises.
    • Promote accountability, transparency and best practices in inventory management across the organization.
    • Perform any other duties assigned to support organizational objectives.

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Inventory Management, Logistics, Business Administration or a related field.
    • 2-4 years of experience in inventory management, storekeeping, warehouse operations, or a similar role.
    • Strong organizational and record keeping skills with high attention to detail.
    • Proven ability to maintain accurate inventory data and conduct stock reconciliation.
    • Good analytical and problem solving skills, particularly in identifying and resolving discrepancies.
    • Basic knowledge of inventory control methods, stock valuation and storage best practices.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills for cross department collaboration.
    • Ability to work independently and maintain accountability for stock accuracy.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory management systems or digital tracking tools.
    • Knowledge of safety and compliance standards related to storage and handling of materials is an added advantage.
