Job Summary

Supports the broader strategy team in the development and implementation of strategic initiatives. This role involves conducting research, analysing data, and providing administrative support to ensure the effective execution of Credit Direct’s strategic goals.

Job Details

Strategic Analysis and Support:

• Conduct market research and gather data to support strategic planning and decision-making.
• Analyse industry trends, competitive landscape, and internal performance metrics.
• Prepare reports and presentations on research findings and strategic insights.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather information and support strategic initiatives.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with the Senior Strategy Associate and other team members.
• Prepare and distribute communication materials related to strategic planning and initiatives.
• Provide general administrative support to the strategy team.
• Assist in organizing and maintaining strategic planning documents and resources.
• Help with the preparation of presentations and materials for strategic meetings and workshops. 
• Analyse data to identify opportunities for process improvement and business growth.
• Work cross-functionally to size markets and develop launch strategies for new opportunities.
• Develop strategies for entering new categories and markets. 
• Assess our ability to win, and competitive threats in new and existing markets
• In-depth quantitative analysis of Global Markets business results and internal metrics, third party competitive benchmarking data, to support a broad range of bespoke strategy projects.
• Keep up to date with technical developments for business area.

Execution Support:

• Provide dedicated support in project management, ensuring that strategic initiatives are executed effectively and on schedule.
• Develop and maintain a system for tracking progress and follow-ups related to strategic initiatives.
• Develop reporting dashboards to track top Objectives & Key Results (OKRs)/KPIs and measure success.
• Help track key corporate performance indicators and other metrics to monitor the success and effectiveness of implemented strategic initiatives.
• Assist in preparing performance reports and dashboards for the senior strategy team and other stakeholders.
• Identify data discrepancies and work with relevant departments to resolve issues.
• Assist in the planning and execution monitoring of strategic projects.
• Coordinate strategic planning activities and timelines, ensuring tasks are completed on schedule.

Requirements

Experience:

• 3–5 years’ relevant experience in strategy, consulting, corporate development, or related fields.
• Preferred: Candidates with prior experience in the Big 4 (strategy/transaction advisory), McKinsey, BCG, or similar top-tier consulting environments.

Core Skills & Competencies:

• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving ability, with a track record of turning complex data and insights into actionable strategies.
• Advanced analytical skills, including financial and business analysis.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with demonstrated expertise in developing high-impact strategy documents and pitch decks for senior stakeholders.
• Proficiency in PowerPoint (storytelling and design) and Excel (financial modeling, data analysis, scenario building).
• Comfortable leveraging AI tools to drive research efficiency, analysis, and creative output.
• Strong organizational skills, able to work independently while contributing to cross-functional projects.

Design, build, and deploy predictive models that improve customer segmentation, risk assessment, and credit decisions. Develop risk modelling and stress testing frameworks. Drive data-driven strategies that enable personalized offerings, boost portfolio performance, and support smarter, faster, and more responsible lending practices.

Data Modelling & Customer Profiling:

• Build and maintain predictive models for customer segmentation and risk assessment. 
• Develop clustering techniques to better understand customer behaviour patterns.

Credit Risk Analytics:

• Create scoring models for default risk, fraud detection, and creditworthiness evaluation.
• Develop risk modelling and stress testing frameworks.

Model Deployment & Monitoring:

• Work with tech teams to deploy models into production systems.
• Monitor model performance and adjust when needed.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication:

• Build relationships with internal stakeholders, customers, and external partners.

Compliance & Data Governance:

• Ensure models meet internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain data accuracy, ethics, and security standard.

Requirements

• B.Sc./M.Sc. in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field.
• Professional certifications in data analytics or machine learning (preferred).
• Minimum 4 years in data science or risk analytics roles.
• Experience in financial services, particularly lending, is strongly preferred.

Technical:

• Predictive modelling & machine learning.
• Credit risk analysis & scoring.
• SQL, Python.
• Risk modelling and stress testing.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
