    Specialist, Internal Audit (IT)

    The Opportunity

    • IHS Towers is expanding our global footprint and we are seeking an individual to join our team in Nigeria as Specialist, Internal Audit (IT).
    • The Specialist, Internal Audit (IT) will execute assurance and consulting internal audit projects as part of the annual risk-based internal audit plan, including developing internal audit scope for IT and operational engagement, performing internal audit procedures, and preparing internal audit reports reflecting results of work performed.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Coordinate audit team in planning, executing and reporting audit engagements.
    • Supervise work done by other team members, when assigned to lead audits, to ensure they are in line with internal audit methodology.
    • Prepare audit work programs for assigned IT and operational audits.
    • Conduct assurance and consulting audits of functional areas and processes within HIS.
    • Document work done in accordance with internal audit manual and methodology.
    • Prepare audit reports to be reviewed by in-charge auditors and audit management.
    • Monitor changes to the company’s policies and procedures and assist in documenting and storing such data in the databases maintained by the unit.
    • Update and maintain outstanding actions database and liaise with process owners on implementation status.
    • Conduct formal follow-up audits of management action plans per approved risk-based audit plan.
    • Perform IT audits per the risk-based audit plan following standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Audit established by the IIA.
    • Provide timely and comprehensive feedback to the in-charge auditors and audit management on the implementation of assigned engagements
    • Perform regional audits, spot checks and other special assignment assigned.
    • Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the Senior Manager, Internal Audit.

    Key Qualifications & Experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree (or related) in Sciences, Social Science, or any related discipline.
    • CISA, CIA, ACCA, ACA or related professional qualifications preferably in IT.
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in internal auditing, external auditing and/or compliance monitoring in a reputable organization with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
    • Prior experience in IT auditing is an added advantage.
    • Prior telecommunications or telecoms infrastructure exposure is an asset.
    • Solid understanding of internal control concepts and IT framework and experience in applying them to plan, perform, manage and report on the evaluation of various business processes.
    • Knowledge of fraud schemes and indicators of fraud.
    • Familiarity with Institute of Internal Auditors’ Code of Ethics
    • Ability to work independently, with limited required direction and guidance, and provide appropriate direction to other internal audit team members.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills, to effectively present to peers and management and secure buy-in for constructive change.

    Specialist, IT Infrastructure Assessment & Review

    The Opportunity

    • IHS Towers is expanding our global footprint and we are seeking an individual to join our team in Nigeria as Specialist, IT Infrastructure Assessment & Review.
    • The Specialist, IT Infrastructure Assessment & Review will support and contribute towards continuous improvement of the company’s cyber-security posture by applying technical know-how and skills to address ongoing enterprise-wide infrastructure security-related issues.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Safeguard IHS by detecting, preventing and mitigating information security (IS) threats to the company’s infrastructure.
    • Provide quarterly network vulnerability assessment of the company’s IT infrastructure by integrating the following tasks:
      • Gather intelligence
      • Document active and stealth nodes
      • Enumerate all trust relationships
      • Identify exposure using commercial tools
      • Scan network vulnerability
      • Analyze, categorize and validate vulnerabilities
      • Catalogue exposure
      • Examine external visible points of presence
      • o Query DNS records and enumerate external nodes
      • Perform TCP/UDP scan of nodes
      • Conduct manual testing and repeat identification
    • Support management in realizing cybersecurity ROI
    • Collaborate with Group Cyber-security team to drive cybersecurity initiatives.
    • Design and implement security controls to safeguard and monitor events for information systems, enterprise network, routers and switches
    • Support the implementation of IS projects.
    • Assess vulnerabilities related to the company’s network by following general accepted methodology for network assessments.
    • Carry out port scans to identify insecure port configurations.
    • Continuously monitor the company’s external visible points of presence.
    • Provide second-line support for IT security-related issues.
    • Collect evidence and documentation of all network-related exposures.
    • Deploy Sophos endpoint for 2000 endpoints and 200 servers and for monitoring/ response to detected malware attacks.
    • Monitor the company’s Operations Management Suite (OMS) platform for endpoints and severs. Identify and responding to security threats on the platform.
    • Monitor firewall logs.
    • Conduct network device review covering the following
      • Router security reviews:
      • Clear Text Rlogin Protocol Service
      • Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP)
      • Clear text (Tenet) review
      • Console Connection Timeout
      • Outbound Administrative Access Review
      • Packet Assembler/ Disassembler
    • Review IDS policies based on the company’s requirements and best practices.
    • Carry out threat monitoring by reviewing firewall and IPS alerts. Follow up with appropriate action.
    • Investigate and block phishing email.
    • Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the Senior Manager, IT Security Operations.

    Key Qualifications & Experience

    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other related disciplines.
    • +5-6 years’ relevant experience in information security and network vulnerability management.
    • Professional certifications will be an asset, e.g. ISO27005: Information Security Risk, CEH, EC-Council Certified Security Analyst (ECSA)
    • Strong background in security infrastructure and various network technologies, e.g. firewalls, VPN, intrusion/ extrusion detection, vulnerability and risk assessment tools, encryption technologies, data loss prevention, whole disk and device encryption solutions, two-factor authentication, common windows (desktop and server) platforms.
    • Demonstrable experience with network and infrastructure vulnerability scanners such as Nessus, NEXPOSE, Nipper, etc.
    • Demonstrable knowledge of security best practices such as defence in-depth, least privileges, need-to-know, separation of duties, access controls, and encryption.
    • Hands on experience with security systems, e.g. firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, authentication systems, log management, content filtering, etc.
    • Proven experience in network security, networking technologies and network monitoring tools.
    • Must possess thorough understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols.

    Specialist, Server Administration

    The Opportunity

    • IHS Towers is expanding our global footprint and we are seeking an individual to join our team in Nigeria as Specialist, Server Administration.
    • The Specialist, Server Administration will assist in day-to-day administration of servers and systems.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Responsible for deploying and maintaining PostgreSQL database clusters that will enable and enhance software products and systems used every day by large platforms, applications, and groups of users.
    • Maintain multiple development, QA, and production PostgreSQL environments with experience in performance tuning.
    • Review existing configurations and installations and provide design decisions for improvements to platform environments.
    • Assist in planning and performing PostgreSQL database upgrades and migrations.
    • Perform production level support and be part of the on call rotation when required.
    • Support new and existing PostgreSQL database systems, both internally and future Cloud managed instances and will contribute in defining best practices in PostgreSQL database administration, and introduce innovation with automation.
    • Participate in collecting, assessing and cataloging threat indicators and closure.
    • Deploy and maintain Azure IaaS Virtual Machines to support growth into the cloud.
    • Manage and respond to escalated client inquiries.
    • Research products and new technologies to increase efficiency of business and operations.
    • Design, implement, configure, and maintain various Azure SaaS cloud services.
    • Administration of Redhat and Ubuntu Linux systems.
    • Responsible for all change management request and tracking.
    • Securing data against unauthorized access on Azure
    • Backing up data and making it efficient to restore when needed on Azure and on-premise.
    • Implement, monitor, and maintain Microsoft Azure solutions.
    • Support the team in administering servers on premises of IHS.
    • Ensures all security updates on servers are duly updated as per monthly plan.
    • Assist the team to ensure that the CCTV camera are monitored, and records are kept as per stipulated days.
    • Carry out day to day Azure administrator tasks.

    Key Qualifications & Experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Computer Science, Electrical and Electronic engineering, Information Technology
    • 4 - 5 Years working experience, preferably in a Telecommunication and IT solutions industry
    • ITIL Foundation is required.
    • Advance knowledge of Microsoft Azure platform.
    • Advance skill on Linux administration.
    • Advance skill on PostgreSQL administration
    • Microsoft Azure Administrator Certification is recommended
    • Background IT knowledge on Virtual Machines, Networks and other IT Infrastructure aspects.
    • CompTIA A+ certified is required or equivalent.
    • Networking skill required.
    • Intermediate knowledge and skilled in IT Security.
    • Experience with vulnerability and patch assessment.
