SME Loan Officer at Spectrum Microfinance Bank

About the Role

• We are a reputable Microfinance Bank, seeking an experienced and result-driven SME Loan Officer to drive business growth through the acquisition and management of small and medium enterprise (SME) clients. The ideal candidate will have strong credit analysis skills, business development capability, and the ability to manage a healthy loan portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and onboard SME clients through strategic business development initiatives.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships to drive retention and cross-selling opportunities.
• Assess client needs and structure appropriate loan solutions.
• Conduct financial analysis, site visits, and credit assessments of SME businesses.
• Prepare credit proposals and present for approval in line with internal policies.
• Monitor loan performance, ensure timely repayments, and manage delinquent accounts.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with KYC, AML, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
• Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in SME lending, credit analysis, or commercial banking.
• Strong understanding of financial statements and credit risk assessment.
• Proven track record in client acquisition and loan portfolio management.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
