    Senior Student Recruitment Manager

    Overview and Objectives of the Position

    • The Senior Student Recruitment Manager plays a significant role in driving sales growth from Nigeria and achieving UPNA student recruitment targets at Navitas’ USA and Canada campuses. 
    • Working closely with colleagues in colleges and Regional Management, this position will be the in-country lead of the Nigeria UPNA recruitment team who are responsible for on the ground sales activities including, but not limited to, training, events, student conversion and troubleshooting. 
    • This requires the SSRM to work with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders across Nigeria to drive long-term growth for Navitas in the market.

    Principal Accountabilities

    • Lead and coordinate Navitas’ UPNA sales and market development initiatives across Nigeria to deliver long term, sustainable student
    • Deliver sales growth through team leadership and achieve student recruitment targets;
    • Deliver exemplary regional specific sales collateral for the agent and partner networks;
    • Deliver market intelligence and accurate sales forecasts via regular and detailed reports;
    • Develop and lead on regional marketing initiatives in accordance with the region’s strategic marketing plans and ensure all marketing activities comply with ethical and legal standards;
    • Through networks and business development activities, collaborate with Regional Managers to identify demand for Navitas products and services and assist in the development of those products to most effectively target the market;
    • Lead the sales recruitment team by example- create an effective, proactive team based culture;
    • Review and assess employee performance and provide appropriate coaching and training;
    • Travel to relevant fairs, exhibitions, conferences and client meetings, assisting with team members’ client meetings as required;
    • Be diligent in documenting all commercial activities onto the CRM

    Key Relationships

    • VP Marketing and Recruitment - Contributes to local UPNA-wide strategy and provides market feedback that shapes and influences divisional recruitment efforts in Nigeria.
    • Regional Manager (RM) - Takes day-to-day direction from the RM on utilization of budget, regional strategy and driving agent account performance.
    • Student Recruitment Managers (SRM) - Leads the team of SRMs by example, creating an effective, proactive team-based culture and ensuring achievement of targets.
    • Marketing Directors/Managers - Works closely with college-based Marketing Directors and Marketing Managers to align on strategy and to tailor in-country activity to support college and partner university objectives. Provides feedback to colleges regarding products, conversion and market analysis.
    • Agency Staff - Provides training to counsellors on value proposition regarding pathways concept and specific products. Takes enquiries from agents regarding students or products. Supports agents at fairs and roadshows
    • Students - Works with students to maximise conversion opportunities and partakes in pre-departure activity as required.

    Knowledge, Skills and Experience
    Desirable Criteria

    • A University Degree, preferably in Business, Marketing or a related discipline;
    • A proven track record of success in international student recruitment within a commercial education business e.g. pathways, languages, private universities;
    • Demonstrable experience of contributing to the development and implementation of high impact marketing campaigns that drive profitable sales growth against target;
    • Excellent understanding of the complexities of operating in a variety of international markets;
    • Strong, demonstrated relationship management skills, ideally within the Higher Education; sector or a related industry that involves complex, aspirational services through a multi-channel approach;
    • A strong understanding of the Nigeria market together with an understanding of the wider region;
    • Excellent understanding of the complexities of operating in a variety of international markets;
    • An ability to coach, guide and mentor team members from diverse backgrounds to maximise their potential and results;

    Essential Criteria:

    • An understanding of the North American higher education sector and experience of driving student numbers from Nigeria to North America.
    • A proven track record of success in international student recruitment for an international education business;
    • A strong understanding of the region’s cultures and a proven track record of being able to drive commercial success across the region;
    • A proven track record in developing sales capabilities across multiple markets through sales team management and coaching;
    • Highly commercial, dynamic, target-oriented and result-driven;
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and experience of dealing directly with a wide variety of people including students, parents and
    • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

    Student Recruitment Manager

    Overview and Objectives of the Position

    • The Student Recruitment Manager plays a significant role in driving recruitment growth and achieving student recruitment targets in their region, working closely with colleagues based in colleges and in-market including the Regional Management team.
    • This position will be responsible for on the ground recruitment activities including, but not limited to agent training, lead generation events, student conversion and solving specific student, parent or agent queries. This requires the ability to support a broad range of internal and external stakeholders across the region to drive long-term growth for specific product(s) in the market.

    Key Relationships

    • Director/s of Marketing and Admissions- Provides expert insight and support to develop and execute the student recruitment strategy for the college in market
    • College based Marketing Managers  - Is trained in products, value proposition and sales toolkit by Marketing Managers. Provides colleges with feedback regarding products, conversion and market analysis
    • Students / Parents - Provides information to potential students & parents (at fairs / exhibitions / information sessions/ phone enquiries etc).
    • Regional Manager (RM) and Regional Sales Director (RSD) - Takes day-to-day operational guidance for office compliance, coordination of activities/events and strategic market advice as required. Will provide regular updates, advice and support in driving agent performance
    • Senior Student Recruitment Manager (where relevant) - Provides support to/takes guidance from the SSRM to ensure the implementation of the Divisional/college strategic recruitment plan
    • Agency Staff  - Provides training to counsellors on value proposition, product information and continually engage in ongoing relationships and nurturing of student applications

    Responsibilities and Duties

    • Operationalize student recruitment plans in the relevant country/territory in collaboration with college based and in-market teams
    • Attend events on behalf of your division/college (and as relevant, of your University Partner)
    • Participate in all recruitment activities including, but not limited to, training, events, student conversion, information sessions and managing enquiries/agent requests
    • Deliver market insight and accurate
    • Handle student enquiries and manage leads. recruitment forecasts through regular and detailed reports to the SSRM, Director of Marketing and Admissions and Regional Manager
    • Ensure complete and accurate reporting of all activities on the CRM
    • Coordinate student contact to confirm outcome of visa interview.
    • Execute pre-departure process with channel partners and studentsKnowledge, Skills and Experience:

    Selection Criteria and Qualifications
    Essential:

    • Bachelor’s Degree
    • Proven track record of strong recruitment performance
    • High level numeric literacy and critical thinking
    • High level interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills including Business level written and oral capability in English
    • Proven ability as a team player
    • Ability to demonstrate innovative thinking
    • An eye for developing new recruitment initiatives
    • Ability to take responsibility for decisions and outcomes
    • Flexible attitude to work including a willingness to work weekends and evenings in support of recruitment activities both locally and internationally
    • Ability to meet targets within defined timelines among changing priorities

    Desirable:

    • Success in a sales role within the Higher Education sector
    • Proven ability to monitor and evaluate the success of activities and report appropriately
    • Proven ability to work successfully with education agents
    • Experience of working effectively within a matrix structure to ensure competing demands are met
    • Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM systems
