Senior Project Engineer (End Facilities/AGIs)

1.0             Reports TO:

• Project Engineering Manager
• Construction Manager

2.0             Directs:

• Discipline/Package Engineers
• Construction Engineers
• CAD Engineers

3.0             Critical Interface:

• Senior Project Engineer (Pipeline)

4.0             Responsible for:

• Supervising the Engineering activities of the end-facilities and above ground installations (detailed engineering and construction engineering)
• Timely completion of all engineering deliverables assigned within the Project
•  Timely reviewing of all in-house and subcontractor engineering deliverables.
• Ensure that contractual specifications, codes and standards are followed in project execution in accordance with contractual, legislative, regulatory, company and commercial requirements.
• Inputs into methods for fabrication, transportation, construction and installation.
• Ensure that technical concepts and methods are in accordance with common industrial standard practice.
• Coordination of all relevant disciplines in review cycle of engineering deliverables.
• Engineering support during execution phase of the project (fabrication and onshore installation).
• Adherence to Company Management System (CMS) as applicable.
• Proposing, stimulating and realising optimisation and improvements in the area of responsibility.

5.0             Authorised to:

• Review and approve of applicable engineering deliverables.
• Review and approve all calculations and analysis performed by Subcontractors and Discipline Engineers

6.0             Requirements:

6.1             Education and Training

• Bachelor/Master Degree in Civil/Mechanical/Chemical engineering or relevant Engineering Discipline.
• Strong engineering design experience.
• Relevant Software Training.

6.2             Experience

• Minimum of 8+ years’ experience in major projects in the Oil & Gas Construction or Petrochemical Industry, and at least 3 years as a Lead (of multi-disciplines)
• Preferable in Piping Design experience
• Preferable with End Facilities detailed engineering experience
• Preferable with Onshore Pipeline Construction Detailed Engineering Experience

6.3             Knowledge & Skills

• Conversant with the use of AutoCAD software
• Ability to generate MTO from engineering Drawings
• Good knowledge of design codes, standards and specifications
• Practical and theoretical knowledge of onshore transportation, installation and construction techniques.
• Good knowledge of Design/ Calculation software and analysis tool.
• Good knowledge of Company Management System (CMS) ensuring compliance to quality, health, safety, environment and security (QHSES) requirements.
• Good knowledge of the English language both written and spoken.
• Ability to work in a team and to co-ordinate activities.
• Ability to proactively plan for potential problems scenarios (Preparation of back-up plans).
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
• Good theoretical knowledge of structural analysis.

• Qualification / Requirements: B.Sc. or HND.
• Minimum of 3 years working experience as a procurement officer in an engineering or a facility management company.
• Solid knowledge and understanding of procurement processes, policies, and systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to negotiate, establish, and administer contracts.
