    Senior Director, Studio X Africa

    Studio X is the execution arm of Open X, the bespoke agency network set up by WPP for The Coca Cola Company.

    It is a multi-disciplinary integrated capabilities infrastructure – that is a one stop shop for all our marketing execution in Africa Operating Unit . Studio X will allow speed/responsiveness and maintain Africa Operating Unit operational leadership, as well as help standardize processes and ways of working within StudioX, so we can focus on outcomes and iterate faster – underpinned by a common data and tech infrastructure

    What You’ll Do for Us

    • Lead the Africa Operating Unit Studio X operations and the implementation of the Africa Operating Unit Studio X agenda, while connecting and integrating it to the global Studio X network.
    • Owns and drives the Africa Operating Unit Studio X activities, comprising integration of multiple capabilities, stewardship of ways of working (incl. tools) to deliver the Studio X agenda.
    • Assess Studio X engagement and performance
    • In close cooperation with Integrated Marketing Experience (IMX) and Operations & capabilities team, Define the capacity of Studio X based on Africa Operating Unit calendars to execute key marketing programs for Africa Operating Unit’s and global charters working closely with key stakeholders especially the Africa Operating Unit Integrated Marketing Experience lead, Marketing Operations and Capabilities team
    • Supports, as part of the global Studio X network, in creating the future agenda for Studio X, in anticipation of the future. experiences and learning culture, leveraging external best practices.
    • Partners with Marketing Operations and Capabilities on the internal engagement and communication strategy
    • Coordinates with Marketing Platform Services at Africa Operating Unit level on key StudioX services/Service level agreements and lead troubleshooting

    Qualifications & Requirements: 

    • 10 years of experience including Marketing, Capability Management, Project Management 
    • Experience working in cross-functional and cross-geographical teams is preferred 
    • Experience working with marketing in the field is preferred

    Senior Legal Counsel - Operations & Dispute Resolution

    You will be responsible for managing the Company’s dispute resolution portfolio across all jurisdictions. In conjunction with external counsel, you will provide legal evaluation of impending dispute resolution matters and proposed strategies for conducting the Company’s case or defence. In addition, you will ensure attendance at court sittings, furnish the Company with regular and detailed updates on the progress of cases; and manage the Company’s relation with external counsel across all jurisdictions.

    IS THIS YOU?

    • 10+ years of related professional work experience
    • A bachelor’s degree in law; and admission to the Nigerian Bar (an LL.M degree will be an added advantage)
    • Strong understanding of supply chain laws and regulations
    • First-rate experience negotiating, drafting, reviewing and interpreting commercial agreements
    • Commercial awareness & strategic thinking
    • Balance managing litigation and dispute resolution, and proactive legal partnering to support strategic business decisions.

    YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Manage the Company’s dispute resolution portfolio and develop tailored risk management strategies.
    • Prepare, review, amend dispute resolution processes involving the Company, and propose strategies for conducting the Company’s case or defence.
    • Review dispute resolution processes prior to filing in court and other relevant registries.
    • Select and prepare witnesses from relevant Functions as may be required to effectively conduct the Company’s case or defence.
    • Review, discuss and align dispute resolution strategy with external counsel.
    • Attend dispute resolution proceedings and represent the Company where necessary.
    • Support the optimization of Legal Function processes to drive operational efficiency and safeguard the Company from legal exposure.
    • Provide periodic reports to the Group Legal Department in relation to the dispute resolution portfolio especially on contingency matters.
    • Act as the dedicated Legal business partner to the Risk & Resilience and Supply Chain.
    • Function, comprising Production, Utilities, Engineering, and Logistics.
    • Support the Supply Chain and Risk Resilience Functions with initiatives & trainings to strengthen capability on negotiation/contracts management.
    • Review, negotiate and finalize complex contracts relating to the business of the Supply Chain and Risk & Resilience Functions.
    • Review and matters pertaining to staff disciplinary proceedings.
    • Keep up-to-date with changes in the practice and procedures of competent courts of records.
    • Monitor legislative/regulatory trends and deploy appropriate trainings for the Supply Chain and Risk & Resilience Functions.
    • Develop trust, confidence and build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

    Scientific & Regulatory Affairs Specialist

    The Scientific and Regulatory Affairs Specialist is responsible to driving the tactical plans and implementation of strategies for ensuring business continuity through compliance to extant relevant regulations affecting company operations across all plants and localities including toll filling contracts; monitoring of changes in the local regulations that could impact the company’s licensed products and current operational processes related to product manufacturing and sales; and conducting periodic risk assessments of the compliance of company to local legal requirements applicable to all company products and maintenance of a positive relationship with all external stakeholder in the regulatory space affecting the company operations.

    IS THIS YOU?

    • B.Sc. Food science, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Biology, Microbiology and applied life sciences.
    • M.Sc. in any of the applied life sciences is an added advantage.
    • Excellent technical knowledge of Carbonated Soft Drinks and associated beverage products (Manufacturing, Handling and Storage requirements)
    • Excellent and fundamental understanding of Bottling and packaging process / production process
    • Knowledge of local food regulations (NAFDAC, SON, FCCPC)
    • FSSC 22000 and ISO 9001 (Quality Management System) expertise
    • Understanding of TCCC and CCH Validation Protocols and Guidelines is an advantage.
    • Ability to demonstrate understanding KORE Requirements for all QSE facets is an advantage.
    • Local (NAFDAC, SON) and International (KORE, Codex Alimentarius) Regulation on Foods and Beverage
    • Process Designs and Food safety Requirements

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Prepare and submit regulatory documentations for all product portfolios including Wines and spirits, snacks and all toll filling operations.
    • Manage company product registration on NAFDAC ‘NAPAMS ‘’portal and Standard Organisation MANCAP status on EDER portal with weekly update on status of all products licenses
    • Develop and implement strategies for regulatory compliance to Local, company and international standards as required.
    • Serve as the primary liaison for NBC with Toll filing partners on all regulatory issues involving NAFDAC and standards Organisation of Nigeria.
    • Manage all product trials for new product registration and license renewals.
    • Continuously monitoring changes in local legal requirements affecting all company products and tolling filling agreement, conducting a risk assessment and reporting same to the SRA manager on timely basis.
    • Ensure all company products presented for registration and renewals have been vetted and comply with all relevant local regulations for labelling, marketing and advertisements.
    • Work closely with all internal stakeholders on implementation of relevant regulatory requirements related to marketing, new product designs, quality and food safety processes, good manufacturing practices (GMP); manufacturing processes, storage and handling of nonconforming products.
    • Develop and maintain a good relationship with key external stakeholders in the regulatory space, ensure there is no disruption in company business operations by monitoring stakeholders through proactive engagements.
