    Senior Airport Services Agent

    Job Summary

    • We are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to join our Ground Services team in Lagos, Nigeria as Senior Airport Services Agent.

    Job Role

    • Provides quality service to passengers with respect to check-in, boarding, special services, lounges, airport hotel and baggage services as per the company’s commercial and safety standards and procedures ensuring passengers and their baggage are handled in a consistent and efficient manner.
    • Ensure Premium Passengers receive total quality service and staff adhere to safety policy and security standards of the company.

    Accountabilities

    • Acts as the first contact between the Airline and its customers as well as all stakeholders and agents who may need assistance with questions, portraying QR image to the highest standards.
    • Ensure that airport operation meets QR’s standards; policies and procedures satisfy local and international safety and security standards and conform to aviation regulatory requirements.
    • Ensure all areas of operations, i.e. flight OPS (OTP), WBL, aircraft loading, baggage handling, departure, arrival, and cargo handling run smoothly and efficiently.
    • Monitors all Gate and Check-in activities ensuring the accurate, service-oriented acceptance and boarding of passengers.
    • Ensure smooth handling of Customer service at the station.
    • Liaises with ramp and GHA staff and supports Airport Services Supervisors in all areas.
    • Perform the Aircraft Turnaround Check (ATC) duty as assigned by the ASM to ensure the safe operation of QR ground ramp product.
    • Operate aircraft cabin service doors from the outside where applicable to facilitate and reduce the associated safety risk of inadvertent slide deployment.
    • Escorting and directing Arriving/Departing passengers to the respective areas such as Hotel Desk, Visa Counter, Transfer Desk, Premium Lounges, and Boarding Gates.
    • Assists Duty Officer to handle company material and records.
    • Brief GHA on new procedures and ensure that they are implemented accurately and fully.
    • Ensure required pre and post-flight administration is conducted timely, and record accurately all flight activities.
    • Handle administrative issues related to monthly/quarterly reports. Ensure requests on operational service failure matters are responded to immediately with a high degree of accuracy and correctness.
    • Work with GHA and ensure all training records of their dedicated/assigned staff to QR are up to date.
    • Assist Passengers in regard to Entry Requirements, Visas, and Residence Permits. Carry out general profiling of passengers on a need basis.
    • Carry out any verification as and when required to protect revenue and image of the company by referring to relevant policy and procedure.
    • Ensure utmost priority is given to all security and safety-related norms laid down by the company, and local authorities and the relevant procedure is implemented/executed through GHA staff.
    • Ensure passengers are assisted smoothly through airport facilities.
    • Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.

    Qualifications 
    The successful candidate will have:

    • Relevant Vocational, Tertiary or Trade qualification
    • Courses in Passenger Handling and Customer Services such as introduction to Civil Aviation and Passenger Handling.
    • 3 years of relevant experience
    • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
    • Ability to effectively manage mishandled baggage services, including service recovery situations with customers.
    • Must have legal rights to live and work in Nigeria.

    Sales Operations Coordinator

    Job Summary

    • We are currently looking to recruit the role of Sales Operations Coordinator, which will be based in Lagos

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for the execution of daily sales operations tasks for the assigned region, adhering closely to established processes and policy guidelines.
    • Deliver five-star service for internal sales teams and external trade partners, which will facilitate QR revenue-generating sales activities.
    • Play an active role in maintaining strong esprit de corp for the sales operations team, and participate in relationship building with internal stakeholders 

    Operational Accountabilities:

    • Adhere closely to Standard Operating Procedures (SoPs) for sales operations functions ensuring alignment to QR’s global sales operations principles
    • Play a leading role in the team for executing sales operations activities including (but not limited to) Reservations and Ticketing, Trade/Corporate Account support, Group Sales, Sales Support, Sales Systems, and Sales Administration.
    • Deliver customer-friendly, value-added communications to external trade partners on QR-related matters such as campaigns, policy changes and fare revisions.
    • Support the sales team in maintaining an up-to-date database of trade partners within the region. Provide line managers and regional management with regular reporting on key departmental performance metrics, and outstanding issues.
    • Mentor junior colleagues in the team and guide them in maintaining high standards of service delivery.

    Qualifications
    The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and skills:

    • Relevant College or University qualification
    • Minimum of 3 years of job-related experience
    • Excellent communication skills with fluency in the English language
    • PC literate with very good knowledge of MS Office (Word/PowerPoint/Excel)
    • Excellent relationship building and communication skills
    • Good knowledge of commercial contracts and finance related processes (invoice flow, ERP, payment processes)
    • Good knowledge of airline processes (e.g. Pricing/distribution technology), systems (e.g. Amadeus, GDSes) and the travel industry in general
    • Problem-solving skills, efficiency-oriented mindset.

    Senior Group Sales Agent

    • In this role, you assist station with handling and negotiating QR groups and seats allocation in respect of company processes and sales strategy.  
    • You will generate groups’ revenue through sales actions and assist customers for all issues related to groups, allocation and negotiated space reservations.  
    • You will develop and increase sales contracts and prospects.
    • You will participate in the achievement of revenue budget and maintain QR quality services. 

    Accountabilities

    • Contribute to realization of Station Budget by increasing materialization and optimizing group sales.
    • Report on other airlines practice (sales conditions) to management and recommend changes or action with proper justification.
    • Listen to customer requirements; identify group segment and present appropriate solution to make revenue. Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers.
    • Meeting and exceeding targets.
    • Handle complete group process from the group quote to the creation and assist SEs follow up of the group requests with agents and HQ, and the monitoring of group figures.
    • Follow up from the group creation to the contract sending and follow up of the materialization with penalties collection if any. Will also implement monitoring tools and follow monthly figures.
    • Allocation process will also be handled in totally by this department. Allocation process consist in analyzing negotiated request and the number of seats requested per flight with Sales Manager, launching negotiated request through Q-allotment, action anticipated seats release as per SSE request and monitor seats materialization rate.
    • Deliver high quality services and quality group revenue in respect with company strategies and guidelines.
    • Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department
