Job Description
Community & Security Liaison:

• Engage with Police Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers (DPOs), heads of security agencies, traditional rulers, community leaders, vigilante groups, and other stakeholders within the region.

Legal Reporting & Coordination:

• Identify individuals for legal follow-up and coordinate with the Legal Department to ensure suspects are arraigned properly

Risk Assessment & Incident Management:

• Conduct routine risk and threat assessments of FirstPower’s assets.
• Alert security agencies promptly during protests, labor actions, or other threats to infrastructure

Security Workforce Oversight:

• Supervise outsourced security personnel across assigned areas

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Lead at least two quarterly security perception management meetings involving community and security stakeholders

Incident Reporting & Investigation Support:

• Timely report of security incidents to Police and FirstPower’s Head of Security.
• Ensure legal follow-up and assist staff in preparing police statements.
• Monitor police investigations involving FirstPower incidents

Qualifications

• Must be Degree holder or its equivalent
• Must be retired SSS, police, army or other government or private security agencies
• Must not be above 60yrs old at point of enlistment
• Must not be less than CSP or LT Col rank or its equivalent that is grade level (13) and above
• Current Curriculum Vitae
• Must produce medical fitness from any government recognized hospital.

Responsibilities

• Perform audit of business operations, finances, compliance with policies and procedures, audit investigation, routine audit as may be directed by the Supervisor.
• Support the Supervisors to carry out periodic internal audit review of accounting books and entries and audit investigations.
• Ensure the implementation of internal audit plan according to schedule.
• Ensure compliance with billing and metering policies and standards.
• Monitor and review technical, commercial and collection losses including metering fraud, illegal connections, energy theft etc.
• Conducting Audit investigations as may be directed from time to time.
• Monitoring of customer’s cash collections, lodgement.
• Carry out periodic bank reconciliation to ensure revenues are banked whole and intact.
• Review and verify the daily cash balancing positions of all cashiers in the districts and service centers.
• Perform other miscellaneous jobs incidental to achieving audit objectives.
• Perfor many other job assigned by the Audit Supervisors and/or Head, Internal Audit and Compliance.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree / HND in Accounting, Engineering or Social Sciences
• Any of these Professional certifications: ACA/ACCA, CAN, CIMA, CIA, CISA, COREN
• Possession of any of the No. 2 above is an added advantage
• Minimum of 4 years’ auditing/accounting work experience
• Age – 30years to 40years
