    School Counselor

    Job Description

    • Implement and oversee junior and high school guidance program that provides students with a safe and non-judgmental way to voice their concerns or worries
    • Assist school administrators and educators with planning and carrying out schoolrelated programs and events
    • Analyze student performance in the classroom to provide guidance and identify potential problems
    • Support the school management team and contribute to action items related to special education requirements
    • Learn students' names, career objectives and other details so to better serve them
    • Help students develop academic plans in accordance with their skills, talents and strengths
    • Work collaboratively with the multi-treatment team and other supportive staff
    • Facilitate crisis intervention and prevention programs
    • Communicate with teachers, parents and administrators on an ongoing basis about behavioral and academic problems
    • Provide counseling utilizing an individual and/or group format
    • Manage crises and ensure safety of students at all times
    • Documentation must be completed on a daily basis
    • Attend all required meetings and support collaborative meetings with school district and outside community agencies.

    Requirements

    • Candidates should posses a minimum of B.Ed / B.Sc(Ed) / BA(Ed) Degree
    • Experience of teaching British curriculum with minimum of 5 years teaching experience.
    • Membership of appropriate associations
    • Good understanding and knowledge of both Checkpoint & IGCSE Curriculum.

    ICT Teacher

    Responsibilities
    The job functions include but not limited to the following:

    • Responsible for developing in each student an interest in and the ability to understand and utilize their knowledge of in ICT (IGCSE curriculum).
    • To oversee the provision of relevant and up to date advice and support for pupils as it relates to the subject.
    • To co-ordinate the selection and development of appropriate syllabus and courses in line with related resources.
    • To maintain full and accurate records of students’ achievements as it relates to the subject.
    • Deliver engaging, coherent and motivating lessons to students across in varying classes.
    • Utilize learning technology in the planning and delivery of lessons.
    • To keep up to date with curriculum change and reforms.
    • Develop lesson plans in line with the curriculum objectives.
    • To plan for, provide and maintain the physical resources necessary for learning and the delivery of chosen syllabuses and courses (including for example; books, past papers, file shares, furniture, equipment etc). Where necessary, liaise with other department to achieve this feat.
    • To undertake, where appropriate, other roles, which may arise either in the department or in the wider school environment.
    • Any other duties relating to the job as required from time to time by the Head of School / Principal.

    Candidate Requirements

    • Candidates should possess a minimum of B.Ed / B.Sc(Ed) / BA(Ed) Degrees or BA / B.Sc / HND plus PGDE in Computer Science or any other related discipline.
    • Minimun of 5 years teaching experience.
    • The British Council certification and experience in tutoring Cambridge students is always a plus for any candidate looking for teaching job employment with our institution.
    • Ability to work under pressure and submit records as at when due is also a very high requirement to joining the Academics Department of school.

    Job Description

    • A school nurse provides healthcare for school-aged students within an educational system. He or she handles the daily health issues that occur with students who attend the school.

    Daily responsibilities

    • Teaching classes on nutrition and health
    • Assessing the status of a student’s immunization documentation and creating health plans for individuals with specific health needs
    • Providing healthcare initiatives within the school
    • Handling minor health issue that occur on a daily basis
    • Dispensing students’ prescribed medications
    • Providing information regarding the normal development of humans
    • Providing regular dental, hearing, and vision screenings
    • A school nurse usually has an office in which to work and treat the students.
    • In addition to working with students, school nurses have other responsibilities, completing medical paperwork, and attending various school meetings.

    Requirements
    The certification requirements for a school nurse vary by state. According to the National Board of School Nurses (NBCSN), a school nurse must meet the following requirements:

    • Earn a Bachelor’s Degree or Higher in a Health-related or Nursing field.
    • At least 4 years work experience.
    • Pass a nursing certification exam.
    • Work in school health services or an area related to school health services.
